"I am travelling on a short trip from India and was suggested by a colleague to must try Vik's before heading back home and you guys have not let me down. Absolutely perfect balance of flavors and my taste buds have relished each and everything I ordered - Vegetarian Daily Special (Veg Kofta and Rajma) were awesome and it was nice to have Homely Tawa Roti Side. Mix Vegetable Pakoras were fabulous, although I fell short of the chutney and a slice of onions could have made the meal complete, however no complains and full marks from my side. "I was looking forward to the food because of all the great reviews! I ordered delivery due to recovering from a medical procedure. I wanted to treat myself because of having gone through all that. The chicken biryani is supposed to come with a whole Cornish hen --- it literally says this on their menu. The TINY container only included a quarter of that. It was so sad-looking. I had imagined that even if they couldn't fit the whole hen, that they would maybe split it into at least two containers? I would've expected more for a menu item that cost $32. It was also supposed to include garlic raita, which was nowhere to be seen. I also got the much-raved-about Alleppey fish & prawn curry ($34), which similarly left much to be desired. The gravy here actually didn't taste that different from the biryani's korma sauce. Disappointed in what feels like lesser quality and care when it comes to folks who aren't able-bodied enough to eat at the restaurant. If you're ordering to-go/delivery, definitely DO NOT order the chicken biryani or the fish and prawn curry. You'll wish you saved the money/Doordash credits. I don't think I'd order from here again. "This is a long over due review, but this is by far one of my favorite Himalayan/Indian restaurants in the Bay. The Chicken Tikka Masala hits the spot every time, and I appreciate that they include two rice varieties by default. The Plain Naan is often warm, fluffy, and wholesome, although it can be a little inconsistent - some nights it can be a little doughy, but still really tasty all the same. The Raita is very nearly perfect - creamy, cool, refreshing - and they give you around 6oz. The amount given is good for 2-3 orders or Plain Naan! Also I want to call out that they are extremely kind! I know that has little bearing on a restaurant, but in today's world, kindness always deserves a shoutout."
