"I haven't had Franklin Fountain in ages. I live right by the place but ordered delivery because I'm disabled and it took over an hour until anyone picked up my order--which was 20 before close. When the dasher arrived apparently the place was closed already and they opened it up and gave him the order. I believe that might be an issue with DoorDash and a lack of available drivers, but just in case it isn't and they simply didn't see the order and select that it was ready for pickup--- and anyone else has this issue in the future, I thought I might mention it. All that aside, it's so delicious. Hydrox is great. Peanut butter is great. This is hands down the best ice cream I've ever had in Philly. It's so expensive, though so I simply can't justify it regularly but wow what a great treat."

I got the taro ice crea with captain crunch. The captain crunch pieces were good, but the ice cream was tasteles. Might as well have been vanilla. I also accidentally ordered the smores cake jar for my boyfriend instead of the smores cake with ice cream jar. It was even more expensive even though it was not good. The cake was dry and tasted like box cake. Insane for the $16 we paid for the bigger size. The pictures and descriptions make it all sound amazing and decadent but the reality was bland and disappointing. Extra criticism goes to the jars. It's super cute and more sustainable than other packaging, but is a terrible insulator against the heat. My ice cream was mostly melted on top of everything."
