A tomato based stew with amazing aromatic flavors like ginger, onions, garlic. Everything merged well together, nothing tasted like it stood out (you won't notice if you say "i dont like onion") So so so so flavorful and the chicken falls off the bone. Tasted so homemade, and reminded me of my mom's Sudanese cooking. One of the best meals I have had in the city, paired well with the aromatic perfectly cooked rice with lots of cardamon flavor. The Fassolia is also so delicious - love the smooth texture. Loved it. Hearty and healthy, lightly salted. It can be ordered alone, but I wanted to pair it. The meal came with a lemony, pepper sauce and was so well balanced. This is the way it is traditionally eaten in Sudan too (hot diced peppers, lemon, chili sauce---like a better spicy Yemini fine pico de gallo relish). So thoughtful to include 2. "The menu is a bit confusing, as the images don't reflect the quantity (for instance, the small kebab entree shows 4 skewers but you only get 2).
