"This is a mixed review. I wouldn't really give it 4 stars but a good 3.5. The shrimp in the Shrimp Po' Boy was really good. Lots of flavor and big shrimp. I did not like the French bread. It wasn't toasted enough kind of overpowered the shrimp. Eaten open faced it was fine. The Cup Gumbo was mixed as well. The shrimp and sausage in it were very good but the roux wasn't cooked the way I like it. It's a thin lighter colored broth as opposed to the almost muddy flavor/ color I prefer. the meats are fine. Just be aware that's it's a lighter roux/ broth "

"Sammy's is still delicious. However, the portions are tiny. I had to check my order to make sure my chopped beef sandwhich on a bun was not a slider from the appetizer menu or a kid's menu item. The chopped beef on the sandwhich using Texas Toast has nearly twice the beef for the same price. But it's still overpriced for what you get. See picture. If you're into barbecue to please your pallette, this is the place for you. If you are eating to fill your stomach as well, there are more reasonably priced alternatives. "

Baked beans are what you expect, a lil sweet and tangy. Coleslaw had a good amount of dressing which I like, although it's pretty generic slaw. Not bad by any means though. Chicken tendies were nice and juicy with a good crunch."
