"I decided to switch it up from my usual go to spot for chilaquiles because I kept hearing so much hype about La Catedral. Unfortunately, I was grossly disappointed.
We ordered multiple items, but I personally only tried the chilaquiles, so this review is strictly based on that dish. That said, I'm so disappointed I don't even want to bother trying anything else I ordered.
First, the dish didn’t come with rice. I actually went back to double check the menu, and to be fair, it was listed that way so that part was on me. I guess I’ve been spoiled because every other restaurant I’ve ordered chilaquiles from includes rice as a standard side, so I assumed it would here too.
The bigger issue was the cecina that came with it. It was terrible, extremely fatty and poorly prepared. The chilaquiles were soggy. What I received felt like a huge, unappetizing slop of food. For $130, I expected much better quality. Instead, most of the chilaquiles and meat ended up in the trash.
Definitely not worth the hype. Never again."
