Overall, the food was fine. It’s paint by numbers Chinese food, and nothing stood out. I ordered the dinner for two, but chose the variation that didn’t have spareribs because I don’t know why anyone would want those. The only other option was a vegetable dish. Well, that was unfortunately mostly giant chunks of broccoli and a few other vegetables like a couple small pieces of carrot, a couple slices of onion and a few pieces of bok choy. This is something I’ve noticed with A1 Delights. That is, restaurants filling takeout containers with massive chunks of broccoli because it’s cheap. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think of a whole tree of broccoli when I think of Chinese food. I ate a bunch of it, but didn’t love it. I could’ve made that at home for $2. The rice was plentiful, but had little taste. The chicken balls were big, but a bit tough and underwhelming. Lastly, the egg roll was fine. It didn’t stand out. I didn’t have a way to pick up from Golden Pine, and was too cheap to order from Family Wok. The reviews were good for this place, but I’ve learned a lesson."
