On top of that, the order had to be reassigned after a driver left without the food, which added to the confusion and delay. Overall, this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. "I’m just not really sure what gourmet about this place. I find the food to be mediocre at best, and the prices are absolutely astronomical for what you were given. People rave about the chicken lettuce wraps, and I agree that it was the best thing that I received. But it’s basically just moo shu chicken with a bunch of iceberg lettuce on the side (and the lettuce is not even cleaned well; I had to rinse them in the sink to get dirt off). I also got BBQ spare ribs which had very little meat on them. It was not worth the money and very hard to gnaw the measly portion off the bones. I ordered shrimp lo mein thinking that the shrimp would be of higher quality than the typical Chinese takeout place, but the shrimp were extremely overcooked and too tough to chew, so I ended up not eating the shrimp. On top of that, there wasn’t a vegetable in sight. I’m used to seeing green onions, mushrooms, and the occasional piece of broccoli or carrot in lo mein, and this was just noodles with impossible to eat shrimp. The last thing I got was chicken with broccoli which was mediocre at best. The pieces of chicken were admittedly gigantic (3+ bites per piece) and pounded so thin that they were extremely dry, but the brown sauce was good, and that is something that I find is lacking elsewhere. But, for these 4 things, I spent over $100. I really find that to be unconscionable, even in today’s inflated economy. This was the last of 3 chances that I’ve given to this restaurant, both in person and via delivery. I think I’ll stick with the more mediocre Chinese food options that we have in Monmouth county. At least they don’t PRETEND to be “gourmet”."

"Hello to dearest reader, I had been craving a philly CS, however as you know we live in NJ. So I decided to take a leap of faith and decided to make an order. Cheesesteak The Sub/hoagie/hero/roll is nice and nice and filled with delec browned onions and charred steak, with hickory savoring cheese... honestly hit the spot. Size is small, but in this day and age maybe that is all we need. I did not get fries, but i did get the DONUT touch these HOLES, and they are these nice and crispy but very soft donut balls, they are meant to be dipped in the icing/dulce de leche. and man oh man it's so GOOD!!!!! The Pepsi is great , but there is no option for ice quanity which is okay. Either way, I will definitely order again, and TY to my dasher(i tipped $5) and he followed all the instructions for little ol'e me. "

"I have ordered 3 times the first two times, it was a great experience. I was able to order a half or whole sandwich. This time the menu did not offer that option. This time it was a much smaller roll that could not hold the steak and stuff. The roll basically fell apart in ur hand. Further the order comes from I-hop! "Please note that this is the second time I’ve tried to leave a review, the first one that I tried to leave what disappears. So, hopefully you get a chance to read this, and I’m just being honest about my experience with mostly inedible food. I found this food to be mediocre at best, and honestly it was mostly inedible. -The teriyaki beef on a stick was extremely dry and tough, kind of like shoe leather. -The boneless spare ribs were also very dry and tough. Unless there was a very thick cut piece, it just soaked up all of the moisture in my mouth and made me feel like I was chewing on something that wasn’t actually food. It’s a shame, because the sauce was sweet, and I think if the ribs hadn’t been extremely overcooked, it could’ve been a good dish. -I also was disappointed to find out that the mixed vegetable chow mein was literally just a bowl of steamed and unseasoned flavorless mixed vegetables. I’m used to chow mein coming with noodles (that’s literally the definition of chow mein = fried noodles). There were no noodles. -I got a side of vegetable fried rice, and the rice was so overcooked, it kind of turned into one smashed Chinese-food-takeout-container-shaped piece of rice. There was no differentiating the individual grains of rice anymore. And it was just yellow in color, there was absolutely no flavor at all. -The worst part was the chicken and Chinese vegetables. Some of the chicken was covered in a goopy gelatinous brown sauce, but most of the chicken was covered in a straight up oil slick. The chicken was cooked fine, and it was the only meat that I received that wasn’t extremely dry, but I found the sauce to be so oily and have no flavor that it was inedible. Do yourself a favor, and order from a Chinese restaurant that knows what they’re doing. This isn’t it. "
