"This is our first time ordering from Mantra. We would definitely order again and venture to try many more dishes next time. The beetroot salad was not as flavorful as I would have liked. It is also listed as having coconut as a main ingredient. There was very little coconut. Perhaps a one off kitchen faux pas? Some people shy away from beetroot because of its earthy taste. Anyone who likes their beetroot less earthy, can feel safe ordering this dish. The well presented diced cubes come through with a sweet flavor. The Aloo Gobi was prepared mildly as requested. This carnivore did not miss having meat because this dish was prepared with a great emphasis on textural variety. The sauce was well balanced. The spices were the perfect choir singing in unison. Sometimes a sauce can have the lead singer be out of tune...nothing but harmony here. Last but not least were the various assortments of bread. We could wax on poetically about the delicate freshness, how they retained crispness even until this morning's breakfast, or how the accompanying chutneys and sauces were tasty, and refreshingly light. To sum them up, let's just say yummy! This restaurant deserves the highest rating. If you are a fellow meat eater, don't hesitate to order. "First time trying Umami Ramen and I can definitely say I will be ordering it again. I tried the R2. Spicy Tonkotsu (Thin Noodles), the Onigiri - Tuna, and the Oolong Tea (bottle). The Spicy Tonkotsu ramen was a 10/10 for me! I ordered it mild and itstill had a spicy kick but the broth was rich and flavorful. The Pork Chashu was tender too! The noodles were bouncing which was a fun surprise being that I've never had ramen noodles this texture before. The Tuna Onigiri was a nice complement to the spiciness of the ramen broth. It was a first time trying onigiri for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. The rice had a stickiness to it and the tuna was flavorful and not dry at all which I will say I was expecting but it was so good! Lastly, the Oolong Tea to wrap up the whole meal. It was tasty, light and my ideal choice of beverage to wash down a delicious meal. For a first time experience with Umami Ramen, it gets a 10/10 from me.
