"Ive been coming to this place for almost 20 years and the quality has gone down considerably when they opened more locations. The carne asada quality is bad now (fatty and not much of it in a burrito). The fries were completely uncooked and soggy. It was also wrapped so poorly that my California Burrito completely fell apart a quarter of the way through. I'll never order from here again which is a huge disappointment because i used to love this place. My advice: go somewhere else. It will be cheaper and better quality. "This is one of the hardest reviews ive evr written. I grew up in Solana Beach and have held Fidel's as my gold standard for authentic Baja ad Califn style Mexican food. It's always been a top recommendation I give to anyone visiting San Diego. But the last two DoorDash orders have been very disappointing. Missing items, ordered items missing ingredients (no lettuce, tomatoes, cheese on a taco) all very small details but important for the item. In particular since their prices are at record highs. Fidels is new to DD and I hope they adjust and improve. For now I'd give them 5 stars for dine in and 3 for delivery. "
