"I ordered the Lamb Biryani and it was perfection. Flavorful, spiced well, generous portions of lamb layering the bottom of the tray, and enough for three-four meals (for one person). If you've eaten in, you know this place is a hole in the wall attached to a small grocery store. It reminds me of the places in Korea that are open for long hours and cater to cab drivers and folks working night shifts by offering wholesome meals for cheap and without any frills. This is exactly what you get with Shan's. No frills, delicious food that is going to fill you up without emptying your wallet. Highly recommend."
"Food is great, love all the spices. Portion sizes are bigger than I expected. It was packaged very well and stayed warm as I walked home (I picked up my food). I've ordered the Nehari beef soup twice now and love having it with home made rice."

"Everything at Nabala is just amazing! Their Iced Shai and Cold Brew cannot be beat, and I can't wait for the weather to cool down so I can try their warm beverages. All of their sandwiches are excellent - but make sure to try the Muhummara Sandwich!"
"The Baklava piece was generously filled and perfectly sweetened. Oat Chai came unsweetened, which is probably my fault for not specifying, but it was great once I added some honey. It wasn't as spicy as I prefer, though. Knafeh Chocolate Latte was decadent and strong. No notes. I need to try all their other drinks now, and I'm definitely getting the Baklava piece again."

"I won’t be ordering from here again. I paid over $21 for this açaí bowl and it was a huge disappointment. The portion of açaí was minimal, and what little there was had ice crystals throughout, making it hard and icy instead of smooth and creamy. It honestly felt like it had been watered down and refrozen.
I also paid extra for Nutella drizzle, which was completely missing.
For the price, the quality and portion were unacceptable. This felt like a total rip-off. Really disappointing experience.

"We love this place! A semi hidden gem. The combo of Combo #3 Entrée and Combo #4 Vegetarian is perfect for sharing between 2 people (and maybe have some left over for lunch the next day!). Flavor is great and quality is high. I recommend the Kabuli rice as well with your combo.
Staff is super friendly too. Highly recommend! "
"The Combo #4 Vegetarian was delicious, however I overpaid considering that 85% of this dish was rice. There were barely any vegetables... The Peerakai Bolani perhaps didn't travel well as it arrived to me absolutely soggy with grease, but then again all of the food was excessively oily. It also seems I overpaid for this, as they were hardly filled. I had a late order, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Great flavors, poor execution. Better luck next time?"

"Sadly, the food here has changed and it's getting worse each order. The chili chicken is no longer spicy and comes in a deli container so it doesn't arrive warm. There's a lot of rice but I guess it's to compensate it being bland with very little vegetables. There's naan was very thick, partially burned, and had little garlic flavor. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars
Absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken samosas and chicken tikka biryani, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. "The lamb mandi hits every single time. Im ngl it is expensive but its literally the best Yemeni restaurant here."
"Amazing flavors ! Something so different and delicious. Portion sizes are big! You'll definitely have leftovers if you order the chicken mandi. We tried the beef matabaq. Definitely great for snacking. Again the flavors are just so goooood!! We tried the barbican drinks which are flavored malt beverage and it was delicious and so refreshing and right amount of sweetness. The pomegranate was my favorite.i can't wait to order again! Only thing for the chicken dish. Since it's roasted you have to be very careful with the bones. "I ordered two Chicken Shawerma Sandwich سندويش شاورما دجاج wraps in tomato basil flats, a double cheeseburger, and two beef meat pies-- large.
Everything was good, except for the meat pies. They don't look anything like the photo at all and were very light with the beef filling. I took pictures, but there's no accommodation to upload here. They were not bulging "pillows" with an open square in the middle, but were overlapping flaps of dough. No pine nuts, either. I would think that less than half a cup of beef was inside the folded dough, as there was empty space at the folds. It would be charitable to describe them as MEDIUM, not large.
I was very disappointed. I would not order them again.
Would like to get a refund for them, in fact.
The Double Cheeseburger was above average, with a goodly amount of tomato, lettuce, onion, etc. The Chicken Shawerma Sandwich wraps were superb, better than ones I bought from a different restaurant. I will probably order the wraps again.
So, the lack of consistency is the overall problem.

"Delicious, thoughtfully packaged, arrived and stayed hot. But did I say delicious. The food tasted like someone put a lot of care into preparing each component. Super tender Fessenjan (Boneless Chicken leg in Pomegranates Walnut Sauce) (Late Night), meat falling off the bone. Grilled vegetables were delicious, as were the hummus pita and cucumber salad. The Hot Tea (Home made) was delicious with the Mamoul with Date or Walnut (2 pieces) as dessert. Would order regularly if we lived closer!"
"Always delicious we adore the Frejian chicken so much- it's chicken in a walnut pomegranate sauce it's just wonderful. We get it all the time for dinner parties. The kabob meal for 3 people can feed actually 6. Well packaged and everyone loves this food"

"Namaste never fails to satisfy my cravings for their chicken masala. So flavorful and delicious. I tried their mango lassi for the first time and oh my gosh it is so yummy and thick and just so delicious. Staff even wrapped the lassi in plastic wrap to prevent any spilling."
"The naan is fluffy and buttery, the yellow dalh was a bit thinner than the consistency I like, but the flavor was perfect. I'm also really happy that my rice came in a separate container that I was able to mix in at home :)
Everything tasted fresh and almost homemade-reminded me of my old friend's recipe."

"Best falafel in the city! And the 7. Grandma Zarifa's Lentil Soup is so tasty. The soup is so well-rounded and flavorful. I also appreciate that my takeout order was completely packed in plastic-free packaging. "

"First time customer. Regular Platter with chicken and beef. Got extra chicken and white sauce. A lot of extra chicken received and of course white sauce tasted on spot! No complaints! Lots of good flavor."
"I ordered from this place before. Food was good.
But Today's order was terrible.

All this was priced at $12.49. "

"Food was amazing, flavor, portions, freshness and value. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and sauce was great and just enough. This will become my new food favorite for day and late nights. Thanks and yesss I will be ordering again soon."
"Overall, the food was great. The highlight though was the thick, juicy gyro meat in the platter! At other places its fried out and doesnt have flavor, this was awesome! The other accompaniments - chicken, rice, hummus, salad were great with it. My only critique is that the hummus could have more flavor - tasted a little bland. Get the extra Pita, it's worth it. "
