"We used to go the restaurant on Western & Devon in Chicago for over 20 years. I'm so happy to see there is a location near me now in Des Plaines. Generous portions of meat. The Gyros Paratha was huge and the Butter Chicken Bowl was fantastic. Plus they are Zabiha Halal ! As always, alot of good food for the money. These guys never miss!"

"I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the Chicken 65 Biryani. Well seasoned and plenty of pieces of chicken. The rice come with a side of sliced onions, which are a nice touch. For a late night eat, this was quite tasty. Also the Mango Lassi was clearly fresh made and had chunks of mango, different form most places but sweet and tasty."

"The vegetarian dishes - Saag Paneer, Chana Masala, Baingan Bharta were each exception. I haven't been able to stop thinking about the eggplant in particular! The chicken tikka kebab and Tandoori shrimp were also delicious, but the ratio of onions to featured protein was about 85 to 15."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars
Absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken samosas and chicken tikka biryani, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The spicy green chili sauce paired with the sweet reddish-brown sauce was amazing mixed into the rice. The biryani had plenty of chicken and great spice without being overwhelming. The portions were generous, and I left happy and full. I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend!"

"I have loved dining at Siri for quite some time, but I recently hired them for live catering for my event, and they completely blew me away! We had a live dosa center and a live chaat center, and their team did a truly fantastic job.
I also have to give a special shoutout to the owner for saving the day. Just two days before the event, we hit a major hiccup when our venue informed us that vendors couldn't bring their own propane gas for liability reasons. I panicked, but when I called the restaurant, the owner was incredibly accommodating. He went completely out of his way to figure out how to make it work using the venue's existing gas range. Even though it wasn't his usual or ideal setup, he just made it happen flawlessly and without any complaints. I am so grateful for his flexibility and dedication!
Despite that last-minute hurdle, the execution was perfect. The quality of the dosas was absolutely amazing, and the chaat was just as great. What really stood out to me was their service. The way the food was served was perfect, and they genuinely took wonderful care of all our guests. Even with a hungry crowd, their speed and efficiency were top-notch, ensuring no one was left waiting long.
To top it all off, they are extremely reasonably priced for the incredible quality and service they provide. I can't say enough good things about this place. I would highly recommend Siri's catering to anyone—friends, family, or anyone looking to elevate their event. Thank you, Siri, for making our gathering so special!"
"This is my favorite Indian spot in Chicago. The spice is perfect on its own (I would say ask for mild coz they are gonna lay it on thick!) the portions are huge I can barely finish my food every time and their cheese garlic naan is so delicious. This is my hidden gem

"I’ve ordered from Urban Turban by VeerGi multiple times, and this order was another great experience. The Chole Bhatura was excellent, with flavorful chole that had a rich, well-balanced spice profile and tasted freshly prepared. The bhaturas were soft, fluffy, and generously sized, making the portion more than satisfying.
The food arrived well packaged, and everything was still fresh when I opened it. I especially appreciated that the curry was packed securely with no spills or leaks. The quality and consistency have been impressive across multiple orders, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back.
The portions offer great value for the price, and the flavors feel authentic and comforting. It’s not always easy to find restaurants that consistently deliver both quality and quantity, but Urban Turban has done that for me. The ingredients tasted fresh, the food was filling, and the overall experience exceeded expectations.
Highly recommend the Chole Bhatura to anyone looking for a satisfying meal. Looking forward to ordering again soon!"

"I recently ordered from Dosa Point X Boba Junction through DoorDash, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The South Indian food was absolutely delicious and authentic. The dosas were perfectly crispy and still warm when they arrived, and the sambar and chutneys were fresh and flavorful.
I also tried the boba drinks, and they were a pleasant surprise – refreshing, with just the right balance of sweetness and chewiness in the tapioca pearls.
The packaging was excellent, ensuring everything stayed intact during delivery. It’s clear they put thought into making to-go orders just as enjoyable as dining in.
If you’re craving South Indian food and boba, this is the perfect"
"The Masala Pav Sandwich in the menu picture showed two mini sandwiches for $7.99 so I ordered it. But after I received it, it was only ONE MINI sandwich and when I called the store they said yes you only get one. So one mini slider-sized sandwich for $7.99 is way overpriced and I will not be ordering this again. At sandwich stores like Subway they give you a full 6 inch sandwich which is at least 3 times bigger than this pav sandwich, and for a less charge too. Dosa Point needs to change the menu picture for this Masala Pav Sandwich to show only one sandwich, not two, so that other customers are not misled."

"It feels like I am eating food not in America, but in India! Perfect Masala Dosa, perfect rice, perfect everything!!! I miss India so much, and this dishes are sending me back to my trip to Kerala"
"I have not done a review yet because I am new to this, and I wanted my first one to be one that I absolutely felt something about before writing a review. Udupi Palace mentions that some of its items are up to 70% less than in the area, something I found to be true only on one of my items the Mulligatawany Soup. This happens to be one of my favorite soups! I am used to looking in it and seeing a variety of ingredients in an appetizing mix with a beautiful aroma! This was a bowl of brown liquid soup with nothing noticeable in it other than broth and a few pieces of spice!
As I looked through most of the entrées, I was worried that so many of them were fried that they would not travel well. The masala dosa arrived lukewarm, and not much taste. I do not like leaving a negative review! Especially for my first one. However, I spent over a decade living blocks from Devon Avenue! Before I found the restaurant that I used to love, which moved, I spent five years or more trying many different Indian restaurants! Usually you end up with leftovers, the amount was slightly less than I am used to getting. In conclusion, I would not order from this restaurant again. I did not like sounding so harsh, but what good is a review if it is not completely honest!"

Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani
It's an aromatic, and flavorful one-pot meal made with layers of juicy, marinated chicken and long-grain basmati rice, slow-cooked together using the traditional dum (steam) method.
The chicken is marinated in a blend of yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, fresh herbs (like mint and coriander), fried onions, lemon juice, and a medley of bold spices such as garam masala, turmeric, red chili, and saffron. This marinated chicken is then layered with partially cooked rice, garnished with more fried onions, saffron milk, and ghee.

"I ate in many Indian restaurants all over the world this had to be the best. The Samosa was excellent. It was wrapped professionally and not greasy. The jazzers Jeera Rice was delicious and the okra, well that was out of this world. It will turn and old woman I to a young teen lol. But seriously , the food was great. I even called to thank the owner/ manager but he was not there.someone else took the call. I recommend this restaurant :-) "

"Consistetly, outstanding Indian cuisine. Restaurants use a small amount of EVOO, which makes the meals that much more nutritious and satisfying. Terrific seasoning of all dishes as well. All breads are also fresh and baked very nicely. "
"We tried the plain Plain Dosa and Masala Dosa and both were terrible. The dosa is supposed to be thin and crispy these were puffy and bland. the Masala Dosa filling tasted like bunch of boiled vegetables. The coconut chutney was similarly bland and tasteless. Basically nothing tasted like what dosa should be."

"Only docking it a star because the Combo Meal for One states 10 ounce of rice, but it's much closer to 6 ounces. Had I known, I would have purchased another side of rice. The entrées, however, are well portioned. Ordered the chicken tikka masala (spicy) and the palak paneer (extra spicy), both were delicious and were true to the spice level for sure."
"I've had better butter chicken. For the price , it's not worth it. I was surprised how bland it tasted, butter chicken is known for its rich flavors... you get about 4 tablespoons of rice. The portion of naan was pretty big. Overall, wouldn't order again."
