"Vassi’s Drive-In is a picture made for motion and appetite. We pull in smooth behind the wheel of a Ford Model A, paint catching the light, tires straight, parked so neat it looks rehearsed. The car fits the spot like it belongs to the place, and so do we. I order the hot dogs with everything, and they do not hold back. Mustard bright as brass, onions piling in, relish chiming along. The dogs have a good snap, the buns keep their composure, and the whole number swings hard from first bite to last. Portions are generous, the food arrives hot, and once you start you are committed. No dabbling allowed. This is drive-in eating the way it was meant to be done. Engine cooling, radio low, paper tray heavy in the hands.
