First the Oxtail soup was the worst I ever had, $29 for only one tiny oxtail and two poor pieces of tomato floating on the bland soup. The coriander was obviously not fresh at all, it’s yellow and has a weird taste. The whole soup tasted like someone’s leftovers that had been put in the fridge for two whole days, then microwaved in a rush to give to me. Second, the intestine noodles were even worse than a packet of instant noodles. The whole thing had no flavor or taste at all, the noodles mushy and soggy, the peanuts inside were small and sad. The noodles look like they were cooked by using an instant noodle pack but had added too much water to it. Please, if anyone sees this review, walk away from this restaurant, don’t waste your money! "Thumbs down is harsh but this was a big disappointment from an LA classic. I had tried the G. Big Mamma Special decades back and either I had a less educated palette back then or they've cheapest out on it. With the cheesey eggs, I remember more actual cheese than what tastes like the same sauce they probably use on Mac and Cheese and one that other soul food restaurants here do better. The biscuit, however, was nice and fluffy, not the hockey puck so many places try to pass off. The gravy actually had potatoes in it, not a bad thing at all.
