He offered me Turkish tea (on the house!) and brought it out in a to-go cup for me to take in the car once my food was ready. While I sipped my tea and waited another customer came in to order food to go. The host helped the customer with figuring out what she wanted and since it was her first time, he gave her a dessert to take home and try, also on the house!

"The Food is decent. Portions are hefty, the food is pretty flavorful. I really only had 2 issues, I was in between 3 and 4 stars as a result. The price is a bit weird for what you get, it's a lot of filler. A LOT of filler. That's mostly ok, it's a decent bit of food, but it's mostly rice and salad. The real issue?
It's SO DRY. The salad is lightly dressed, the pita is cut into strips so you can't wrap the kebab in it, the rice is kinda dry (and honestly, bland), and there's this little ramekin of sauce that's supposed to salvage the whole thing. That ramekin is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
I'd probably give it 5 stars if it came with more sauce. As it is I'm about to whip up my own tzatziki to kinda bring this to life. Very heavily suggest asking for extra sauce. Mine's all gone and I still have half a pita and 42 pounds of rice to eat."

"Greek Village has been one of my favorite casual restaurants locally over the past 30+ years, and justifiably so; they've honestly set the bar so extremely high, it's the gold standard in Greek cuisine to me.
You simply can't go wrong with their Beef Souvlakia, or any other one of their souvlakis or gyros. The proteins are seasoned and/or marinated extremely well, and usually cooked to perfection. Couple this with a fresh pita, fresh vegetables (tomato, lettuce, and red onion) and their homemade tzatziki sauce (made with yogurt, cucumber, and fresh garlic) and you have a very filling, delicious, and affordable meal.
The Grilled Chicken sandwich was served on a toasted buttered garlic hard roll, and it came with pickle slices, coleslaw, and the mayo in separate containers on the side, which prevented the sandwich from becoming soggy or having those flavors all blending together unnecessarily (I think pickles on chicken is blasphemous.)
Lastly, their Egg Creams are on point!"
