"This was my first time trying Kyoto Hibachi Express and Sushi. The Chicken Ramen was so better than I've had at other ramen restaurants. Usually it's hard to find ramen featuring chicken that doesn't just taste like chicken noodle soup. So I was very happy with the rich flavors of the soup as well as the combined flavors of all the toppings. The eggs especially were firm but also melt in your mouth and have a subtle sweetness to them that contrasts well with the ramen broth. And the Extra Shrimp Tempura was just as tasty and satisfying. Would definitely order again!!"

"I didnt know until recently this was a National chain. Tho not in every state. it's in quite a few. This place does not come across as a chain like Fridays or Chilis. It has a more home town feel to it, a more beighboorhood eatery with a bar where everyone from the neighbood gathers after work. For being a chain it has some great qualities that really stand out over others. This place has the best fried fish! The menu does not say what kind It is, but it's always consistent... delicious, white, fluffy and always has a rather large portion to boot! I've had their fries with it but I prefer the coleslaw. I've ordered their burgers and sushi as well. Their burgers are good, decent in size. Definetly will fill your belly. They dont lie like Burger King does and advertise an enormous Whopper and then present you with a burger 1/4 or at best 1/2 the size advertised! Their sushi hand roles are better than most Japanese places I've ordered from. I'd have to say somebody or more than one sonebodies in the kitchen has/have got it going on, and knows what they are doing. Altho this place has a neighborhood restaurant and bar feel to it (intentially done by founders Bruce Drake and Brian McCarty), they are not serving typical bar fare, and by far not typical bar fare quality either! I've ordered from the Indianapolis, IN location has been perfection. Always fresh, with generous portions and delicious! If i order take away or delivery, there has never been anything forgotten, or missed, or mixed with something else. This is the ONLY restaurant I can say that about Any other restaurant ive ordered from has crewed up at one time or another and we order DD A LOT - 3/4 per week The only 2 cons I can think of, and they are more wishes then cons 1. The shrimp tempura appetizer should come with a traditional tempura dipping sauce (an au jus) in addition to the eel/fish sauce with which it's currently served for folks who like that. Not everyone likes fish sauce, especially if it's on anything other than sushi. 2. Include with The Shrimp Tempura Appetizer a few (2-3) traditional tempura vegetables as it is served in Japan i.e., green bean, broccoli, sweet potato, white potato, zuccini, bell pepper, mushroom, carrot, onion ring. Include a dinner sized portion of Shrimp Tempura on the menu with traditional au jus dipping sauce or eel/fish sauce and ' include a larger portion of vegtable tempura (5-7 pieces) as it is: served in Japan (see veggies listed above) Perhaps someone from Blue Grass Hospitality Group (BHG) will see this and think it a great idea taking my recommendations under consideration and change it up! "

"Ive ordered from here and get the lettuce wraps frequently and they are always yummy. This time for whatever reason the chicken came in a styrofoam cup instead of foil which was fine, but immediately I could tell by opening it and the smell that something was off. It smells and tastes COMPLETELY different than how it always does. Instead of tangy and sweet, it's bitter and the chicken was very rubbery instead of pulls apart like normal. I also usually receive an iceberg lettuce, but instead I received 3 lettuce pieces. Everything else was great, but this was what I was looking forward to most for my dinner and it was very disappointing for a $40 total."

The tuna on the Tokyo Roll was a fraction of the size it usually is. The tuna and the tobiko on the Flying Fish Roe Nigiri was an unnatural shade of red like they had been dyed to make them seem higher quality. There was no sauce on either roll. I also didn't get the Ext Spicy Sauce I paid for.. And I didnt get the miso soup that was supposed to come with the Tokyo Roll. I hope this was just an off night."
