"everything was tasty and fresh. the single Pork Belly Bao & Korean Fried Chicken Bao was a good introduction to Buba. Kickin Krunch Shrimp was my main dish. my kid had the Crispy Fried Chicken, and the only complaint is that there should have been more dipping sauce, one tiny cup wasn't enough. we both shared Okonomiyaki Fries, which reminded us of the okinomiyaki veggie "pancake" we used to eat in Tokyo when we were younger. we will go to a sit down dinner at this place, and probably order some of this food again, but it was a bit spendy for the portions."
"First, I do suggest going to the restaurant in person 1st---for the full, intended experience. I went for dinner on a Thursday night---about an hour before close---party of two. It was pretty full, but surprisingly, even with all of the people there, it still gave a vibe of privacy and separateness, which is hard to achieve; so we were already impressed there.
**If you want to try it, but are trying to be frugal, I suggest sharing your main dish, it's a nice experience, cost effective, and the portion is big enough that you will likely feel satiated but not stuffed**
What we ordered: 1 order of fresh rolls to share (comes with a peanut sauce), two orders of Korean Cucumber salad, we shared 1 order of the Buba Noodle main dish, and for desert we had Thai Iced tea (I had coconut milk in mine---love!!!)
Timing & Presentation: it was prepared quickly and beautifully. fresh rolls are two rolls cut in half (so four pieces), and the peanut sauce had crushed peanuts on top; Korean Cucumber Salad
Quality: fresh, whole ingredients--what you saw on your plate was what you were eating
Taste: everything was flavorful, but not overpowering, and everything felt light and fresh--even the warm dish we ordered. The sauces for each dish were present enough that it was not bland, but gentle enough that the sauces were not the main event of the palate--which is great for some dishes, but I appreciate that for these plates, the sauces created flavor-cohesion rather than a homogenous palate."
