"Kings makes the best salads. I know it's not something you think of when you think of a tavern, but this is my go-to place in Keswick overall for salads. The dressings are home made and everything is always so fresh and high quality. This time I had the beef tenderloin caprese. Steak was cooked perfectly (and they followed my instructions to cook it through because im pregnant and it was still so tender!). They didn't cheap out on the fresh mozzarella and the balsamic dressing is the best!"

"I ordered the child's portion of spaghetti and meatballs as I am attempting to reduce calories as instructed by my doctor. A child's portion is actually an appropriate portion for an adult and an adult portion is considered excessive. The child's portion was plentiful, with 2 large meatballs and tasty. My side was carrots, celery and dip I thought. However, I received 4 carrot sticks, no celery and no dip but an abundance of slimy cucumber pieces. That is why I gave the rating of 3. It also came with a large cookie and small orange juice. Had there been dip and celery , I would have given a 4/5."

"whole meal is delicious, as always, but the lettuce in the caesar salad — something I've never ordered from them before, so I don't know if this is the usual state of things — was a bit old, limp and oxidized. the edges where it's been cut awhile are browned and it's not especially crisp. the croutons aren't especially tasty or all that crisp and crunchy either, but perhaps that's due to being in a container with lettuce for a bit, and I prefer croutons to be made of a denser bread, not something as light and airy as this, but that's personal taste and not a fault of the dish itself. the dressing isn't great, either, but it's perfectly fine. pulled pork is delish, as always, and the onion rings are perfectly fine!"
