"I ordered two Coffee Éclairs, two Chocolate Eclairs, one Mini Croissant, one Tarte au Citron, and a Quiche Jardinière. They had to close early due to an emergency and was unable to fulfill the entire order, such as the Tarte au Citron, which I understand. They were lovely about it and provided two of their chocolate gateaus explaining the situation. Their service was wonderful, and I wish I could give them five stars for service. The reason for my rating is that the eclairs and croissant were fine, not great. The coffee one was subpar to be honest. The mini croissant was comically small for the price. I would have been fine with it if everything had a bakery quality taste. Instead, the desserts reminded me of store brand desserts. The gateaus were bland but my partner liked the texture. The item that did stand out was the Quiche Jardinière. My partner loved it and had no critiques. "

"The brownie - my favorite - VERY dense, a little crumbly, has a sophisticated chocolate flavor, refreshingly not overly sweet. I will be ordering this again! The espresso cake is rich, tender, and moist, in loaf shape, topped with a single layer of espresso frosting and dotted with three espresso beans. Because it's baked in a small individual loaf shape, the exterior has that "corner" texture that comes from being baked up against the sides of a pan, but perhaps that helps to keep the moisture in. The tiramisu is yummy, subtle, with a lovely dense texture to the cream, and fresh ladyfingers that haven't lost their texture to age or over-soaking in espresso. The cocoa powder topping seemed slightly sweet. No alcohol, and I'm not sure I detected any mascarpone in the cream (maybe it's there and I missed it) but it was very nice for a fresh tiramisu fix."

The Human Bean

"The bagels are really good; I got the Asiago warmed with cream cheese. Was still warm when it arrived, had the perfect crunch in the right places and soft everywhere else. I ordered a Snowy Mocha Breve and it tasted great! I really appreciate the little additions Human Bean provides like the stir stick in the lid to prevent spilling when driving and the coffee beans they give every order. I usually give those to my Mother In-Law who loves them, but they're a nice treat added to your order. Lastly, I ordered a Raspberry muffin top which I haven't touched just yet (treat for later), but I love that they offer so many flavor varieties here. DB's has 2 flavors I believe and Human Bean has like 6 or something. Lol Pretty much all the typical muffin flavors you could buy elsewhere, they have as tops, made in-house and packaged individually. The only thing I was kind of bummed about would be the prices for coffees. They start their small sizes off at the same pricing of every other coffee houses large/venti size. So my large 20 oz. super basic white chocolate mocha with no additions cost almost $8. Eeek! And yeah, it's good coffee, but the coffee itself is nothing special in comparison to any other coffee house (no offense to the barista's - y'all are wonderful!). The coffee bean is a great little treat, but not worth an extra $3 imo. If the pricing was at least comparable, I'd order here more often since the lines are always shorter or empty, they do have more options for muffin tops, AND they do provide more typical drink options when ordering through the delivery apps in addition to being readily available FOR delivery on the foodie apps (where as DB does not and SB is inclusive to Uber and it's sister partners only). Other than coffee costs alone (food pricing is average for all coffee houses which makes coffee pricing differences kind of confusing) - it's not a bad place. I enjoyed my items this morning and my Dasher was great - very polite and positive. Greeted me with a big smile and was quick to respond from start to finish. "
