While the food arrived piping hot and portion sizes were generous, the quality of the dishes was a letdown. The vegetables were a highlight, with a great texture that wasn't overcooked. However, the same couldn't be said for the proteins and sauces, which were marred by a mushy and unappealing texture. The orange flavored chicken, which looked promising with its whole chilis and orange peel, was surprisingly bland and not spicy at all. The shaved chicken and beef dishes were a miss, with starch-based sauces that created a slimy texture that didn't pair well with the proteins. The lack of flavor was a major issue, making even the hot & sour soup, which was the only decent dish, feel underwhelming compared to similar soups we've had elsewhere. For a whopping $45 (before fees and tip), we were expecting a lot more. We immediately regretted the splurge."
