"To begin with, we have ordered from Chinatown for around a decade and had decent consistant quality. This time the Chow Mein was runny, bland and worse than canned grocery store equivalent. Then there was the Egg Fu Yung which had always been well made and right out of the wok with all the "rough" edges and sort of dome shaped patty. What I got tonight was two egg patties that were perfectly symmetrical, very light in color without the expected bumps from the veggies and pork mixed in. The patties were perfectly flat and round and had never seen a wok in their existance. The usually thick brown sauce with a nice and recognizable flavor was watery and light brown with little flavor at all. The Krab Rangoon had never seen a fryer and though the turned up edges were a little crisp, the bottoms were flat and not at all crisp. They had not been deep fried and looked machine made, frozen and then baked in a toaster oven. The same with the Egg Roll. It was so smooth and symmetrical it looked machine made with the edges of the wrap pressed into itself that it had beed rolled flat, so even though this was deep fried, it was surely machine made and probably frozen. This was by far the worst I've ever had and whether it was some kind of experiment with new suppliers or a new cook, after nearly ten years of decent reliable food, this is the last time I am ordering pick-up or delivery from Chinatown! The swiftly bumped up prices during and after the pandemic was bad enough, but higher prices with strikingly worse quality is impossible to ignore!"
