This is THE spot for Mexican food in southern Houston. Haven't tried their sister store Jimmy changas yet but Gringos is absolutely phenomenal. We tried so many dishes and not a single one was bad. Every single thing was absolutely incredible from the seafood to the tacos to the burritos and even the salsa, it was all spectacular. We will no longer waste our time or money on any other Mexican place, Gringos is our go to spot from now on. We might try Jimmy Changas just to see if it's just as good, but Gringos is the standard from now on. The rice and refried beans are incredible, whether it be the Mexican rice and refried beans or the cilantro rice both are awesome. "Loved the food! It was hot and arrived quickly. The BB's Triple Play TOGO is a great value. Got crab legs, crawfish & hot peel & eat shrimp all Cajun style. The crab legs were perfectly cooked - every bite came out of the shell in one piece, and was sweet & delicious. Crawfish were good, could have been spicier. I prefer seasonings on the outside, too. Great shrimp, also could have been spicier and would have liked seasoning on the outside, same with the crablegs. Just something about getting your fingers covered in the spice. LOL Didn't realize it comes with a large portion of dirty rice, so that was nice. The TOGO Large Crawfish Etouffee was very spicy! It is on the heavy side. The TOGO Cajun Dirty Rice is OK - definitely have had much better. Seems like they just stir some cooked sausage into their white rice, so it didn't have full flavor - needed some bell pepper, too.
