I ordered the Choriqueso and the 3 Tacos de Asada meal, which came with rice, beans, and a small side salad. Right away, the Choriqueso was underwhelming—it came with what looked like just a quarter of a standard bag of chips, not nearly enough for the amount of cheese served. The presentation felt like an afterthought.
More concerning was the flavor across the entire meal. The Choriqueso, tacos, rice, beans, and even the salad all shared a strong, bitter, burnt taste—like everything had been cooked on the same pan without it being properly cleaned between uses. It wasn’t the smokiness you sometimes get from grilled food; it was the acrid taste of scorched residue.
The tortillas for the tacos were another letdown. They were clearly not fresh—tough, dry around the edges, and had the texture of something that had been sitting out too long before being served. Reheating didn’t help; they lacked the softness and warmth that fresh tortillas should have. The asada itself was dry and underseasoned, and whatever flavor it had was overpowered by the same burnt undertone that ran through the entire plate.
Overall, the food tasted like it had been carelessly prepared, with little attention to freshness or basic kitchen hygiene. The experience was disappointing from the first bite to the last."
