"I moved to Vermont from a city with a LOT of options for takeout and this is the first restaurant to meet my expectations for the quality of a meal since. Some notable moments: -I could taste the smoky dashi stock in the complimentary miso, and the tofu and seaweed was fresh - this was not made from a packet and sold at an exorbitant price to me. The sides were mostly generous and fresh. -The Ma Po Tofu had a solid kick of spice and decently red color to appetize the eyes and meet the expectation of the dish - the added veggies were a bonus, and the portion will serve for two or three meals at least -I ordered salmon sashimi a la carte and received two thick slices that were not fishy in the slightest and had good, melt in the mouth texture. This item struck me as a bit overpriced although the quality is good. Served with fresh pickled ginger, wasabi, and some julienned cucumber. My only critique is the shumai is so minimal :/"
