"Food came hot and tasty. We got the whiting fillet and two orders of the bbq chicken platter special. The portions are heavy and worth the money. Fish was fresh and chicken was hot. Sides were really good too. Only complaint was that we ordered two platter with yams&collards and 1 with yams and Mac, only one of the platters had collards which was disappointing as the collards are very good. "Probably the best restaurant ive ever taken on a random DoorDashorder. Ordered pretty late around 9pm and they still whipped me up one of the best Pulled Pork Sandwich meals ive ever eaten. Sandwich was a 10/10 with the side of bbq sauce. The Mac 'n Cheese was another 10/10 best Mac and cheese ive ever eaten with take out. The only problem I had was the Classic Lemonade being watered down/not enough sweetener. However will not affect my 5 stars because of how good the food was. "So long story short, the Fried Chicken & Waffles meal is good. The waffle has a good flavor that compliments the chicken well. The chicken is breaded using cereal pieces and that adds a nice touch.
The negatives. If you ever needed a visual representation of "shrinkflation" this meal would be it. Cheesecake Factory REALLY thinks we don't notice how small the chicken strips are getting. The chicken is LAUGHABLY tiny. To make this exact meal, as they have it, would cost you about $10 but Cheesecake Factory is charging $20 for this!
Also, both the chicken and the waffle will likely be soggy when they arrive as the package it in a non breathable container. But a quick trip to the air fryer for the chicken and a good few minutes in the broiler for the waffle and all is good.
