"So, I always order the Crunchy California Roll from here and it has never failed to satisfy. The rolls always taste fresh, and are topped handsomely with tempura batter crumbles, green onions, and french fried onions, which create a wonderful mix of flavor and texture. This is also drizzled with teriyaki and a spicy mayo sauce (I think you can opt out of it, if you'd prefer), which make the whole roll so delicious that it doesn't really need the soy sauce that it's packaged with. I do still dip it anyway, just because. ^^ Now, as a warning, this dish does contain crab, sesame seeds, and egg (bc spicy mayo). But otherwise, it's perfectly delicious, and wonderfully presented, every time :D The Belgian Mousse Cake Slice is a sleeper hitter, in that for what it's made of, it's wonderfully rich and so decadent. "The Crystal Roll is one of the best sushi rolls there is. As good as it is, however, we only get food from Sushi Ya occasionally as I don't think it is a great value for the money. When did sushi rolls get to be $12-18 each?? With prices like that, just 2 rolls will cost as much as a well prepared steak from a quality restaurant! With sides!! So ordering from Sushi Ya is only something we do when we are really splurging. Not being in the restaurant business myself, I can only imagine the overhead and why the food is so expensive. So I am not being critical of Sushi Ya, just my opinion. It is delicious though!!"

The flavors tasted pretty artificial and watered down, lacking the richness or freshness you’d expect from a good boba spot.
