Let’s dive in!
I ordered the 1/2 Slab Rib Dinner with mac and cheese and collard greens. For dessert, I went with the cherry cheesecake.
**The Ribs:**
Flavor? Missing in action. There was no noticeable seasoning before cooking, just a faint smoky taste. They definitely needed more time on the heat. They were chewy, not "fall-off-the-bone" tender. There was a fair amount of meat, but I actually had to cook them longer at home to make them edible. The BBQ sauce on the side was a decent portion and surprisingly tasty, so props for that.
**Mac and Cheese:**
Bland. The cheese sauce was runny, and while the pasta itself was cooked perfectly, the whole dish lacked seasoning. A little love (and maybe a pinch of salt and some sharp cheddar) could take this to the next level. Portion size was solid, though.
**Collard Greens:**
These were the highlight of the savory part of the meal. I'd give them 4 stars. They were a tad salty and slightly overcooked but still flavorful with a great little spicy kick. I’d definitely eat these again.
**Cherry Cheesecake:**
**The undisputed star of the meal.**
This cheesecake was *chef’s kiss.* Perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The cherries added just the right amount of tartness. It was light and fluffy, not your typical dense cheesecake, and absolutely delicious. A full 5 stars. I’d order it again in a heartbeat.
**Would I order again?**
Yes, I would. The price was definitely a great value for the amount of food. While not everything was a hit, there were some bright spots, especially that Cherry Cheesecake . Next time, I’ll probably try a different main, but dessert is a must."
