and the enchilada red/roja sauce? yikes. not bright or tangy or even saucelike at all. it was more like a thick, gloppy crust of tomato paste, oversweet, with weird pie seasonings in it.
also, speaking of weird, it's weird that you can't order a side of rice or beans with your combination dinner...but the *combination* dinner only gives you a choice of one or the other.
sorry to say that my recommendation as someone who loves all kinds of mexican food and has eaten mexican food in all kinds of restaurants everywhere from mexico to san antonio to oregon...and yes, in illinois...would be to avoid."
