"Normally I love Butterfly Belly, I'm not sure if they were just having an off night or what, but my concerns started when the dasher messaged me they had to wait an extra half an hour to pick up the food because the server was playing guitar instead of tending to customers, seating people acknowledging he was there, etc. When we got the food, they packaged it so poorly that the Thai tea had exploded all over the items in the bag & soaked everything in tea, making it inedible. Even if that hadn't happened, the food itself was nowhere near the quality it usually is. There was hardly any meat in anything, the lettuce wrap mix was mostly just onions & grease. There was no sauce at all in the vermicelli, and the egg rolls were dripping in grease. I don't know what changed, I've never had this experience before at Butterfly Belly, it was extremely disappointing. This has long been one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, so i don't know if this was just an off night, but I really hope they can figure out what happened and address these issues in the future. I'm still hungry, and unsatisfied with my 20$ purchase. But this is the first time I've ever ordered and not been stuffed after over eating cause it was so good. Do not order the Salt & Pepper Chicken Tip. They're terrible, especially for $12.50. You know the last part of the chicken wing that you snip off and throw out? The splintering bone with the tiny bit of skin on it? It's just a small pile of those, badly fried, with way too much table salt on them. The cheesecake is the super dry Asian style cheesecake, which is like a super light and bland crumpet. I don't usually like Asian cheesecake; this one was stale, dry, and terrible. Thankfully the Original Soy Milk was good for washing the crumbs down."
