"I never write reviews, but have to shout out the Veg Samosa (2) here. Most rich and delicious samosas I've ever tried"
"This place was great the first time I ordered. The second time I ordered was almost as if I ordered from a different restaurant. The lamb is extremely chewy and has a strong old goat flavor rather than lamb. I don't know if it was a mix up or if it's just me. The chicken tasted bland and as if it was sitting in the fridge for a week. The portions are extremely small and have a bad dish to rice ratio. I would not order here again."

"I did not receive multiple items that I ordered. I received 3 pieces of beguni instead of egg chop and pakora that I ordered as well. I also paid for a large cilantro bhorta and a small shutki bhorta however both were the same size when I received it. I'm assuming both small sizes. "I always get the roast chicken and it's amazing. Tastes just like the one I grew up eating, I'm Bengali."
"I ordered two lamb curry and 1 roasted chicken from this business through DoorDash. For the lamb curry, they only gave dry bones and 25% lamb meat in each box. They charged $13.50/ box just for some lamb bones. Definitely NOT recommended.
I would have uploaded some pictures but my mom and sister already ate the food right after delivery and told me about it after I got home.

"They don't put sauce on top and don't even have the option for green sauce. The lamb tastes weird and it's way more expensive than going in person. The portion also seems smaller. Food still seems fresh though, wish they would fix their problems though because they are one of the best brands"
"NOTE: The image that is used to represent basically all the platters are completely misleading from what food you actually receive. so DO NOT ORDER if you specifically are ordering it because of how it looks in the image. (there are no fries, it is a small black container with lettuce, rice, meat, and sauce)
I have been going here for years so i ordered knowing what i'm actually getting, and the food is very much still really good. But i highly recommend simply just picking up the food rather than ordering as you can actually see what the food looks like. Also the prices are higher on their doordash page than how much it costs to order in person."

"Ordered a lot to try: the Peshawari Naan is like a warm yummy tummy hug that would be great with hot tea and the Lemon Rice is a tasty refreshing high note to all the heat of the other spicy dishes (which were also delicious). Aloo Gobi, Aloo Tikka, Saag and Channa Masala excellent. The Garlic Naan was too strong garlic for me but my roommate thought it was perfect, Vegetable Biryani same, delicious but too spicy for me but fine for him.
Everything is so flavorful that just a few bites are very satisfying and filling so you don't need to eat much. I literally had a bite of each dish and will be saving the leftovers to last the week. Put me into a nice chill mood for the evening soo happeee ~_~ ."
"Had to go pick the food up myself because they were taking too long. I go to the restaurant and it's not busy at all. What was taking so long!?! Food is good though. They should probably sub out the big shrimp for smaller shrimp so it fills the bowl more. The food was fresh, won't order again until they have delivery from dashers instead of the restaurant itelf."

Chicken 65 was really great, little was crunchy, but still great authentic chicken 65, wish they had heat levels for the chicken 65 though, would have liked a little more heat but understandable that added heat would not appeal to many outside Indians!!! Great Food!!! Loved It!!!!!!"
"We had the Butter Chicken, Cauliflower Lasuni and Spinach curry. Honestly tasted like it came out of a can, lacked flavor. We barely ate half of it. The butter chicken was especially too sweet and the cauliflower was $14 for like 5 small pieces? I never write bad reviews but damn this was pretty bad. Maybe we just got a bad batch. "

"Very flavorful Chicken Tikka Masala but wish there was more chicken and a little less onion. But the flavor and spice is there! The rice is honestly so good - it's just rice but idk - it's BANGIN. The Veg. Samosa is A+. The Garlic Naan is moist and just the right amount of garlic. The raita leaves a bit to be desired but I'd still order it again. Everything arrived super quickly and well packed!"
"The veg pakora and samosas were really good. I think the Chana masala could be much hotter/spicier. It does come with basmati rice, in case anyone was wondering (because it doesn't say in the online menu.) I would prefer to have the option of brown rice, but it's fine."

"Omg this is the best Thai food that I ever had in my life!! Everything is made with love and I usually dont like sauces but all the sauces were to perfection. I love the option for the spice level with my basil fried rice. Also the curry puffs melted in my mouth, the cucumber sauce wasnt too sweet like other restaurants. I will only order Thai food from this restaurant only from now on. So tasty!"
"Mild Ginger Sautéed wa very spicy, and mild Vegetable Soup (Small 16 oz) was fairly spicy, but both were very good, as was the Green Curry. Best Thai food I've had in a while. "Queens gem. No place quite like Paratha in their dedication to detail with their menu, desi flavor & actual spot with artful attention to vibe/mood/atmosphere. FYI- NEW very cute backyard seating area! This replaces the street seating that was in the front during the pandemic (which they somehow made cozy and transformed into a tropical-feeling right on busy Metro Ave)... The staff of Paratha are all fabulous. Food: Curry Coconut Shrimp is amazing- been a FAV since they first opened. Roti & garlic paratha to die for as is the Chana. Daal tadka is smokey and incredible, kale fritters are great- he likes the amritsari fish & saag paneer. And of course..the samosas & tamarind are a must have. Everything we've had has been a step above. *ALSO they were BYOB originally but now have drinks & a cocktail menu! Mango margarita and we had something else kickass I forgot and don't see the new drink menu up anywhere so will have to return to remember :)
TLDR: this spot rocks. Swing by their backyard for drinks, amazing vibe/staff & incredible food"
"Paratha Wala hosts distinctive and high quality south Asian Indian food. I am impressed. Many restaurants enjoy a pre-made base, therefore the fare in many Eastern restaurants tastes the same.
Paratha Wala hosts unique flavors; I trust their offerings are handmade with love. The wraps are stellar---and something i would not have initially thought to try---but it was worth it. I was disappointed by my Chai tea today, but I trust it was simply an off day. Thank you friends !"

Honesty we were happy with everything except for the portions on the curries we ordered. This is the first Indian restaurant where I've ordered takeout and felt that they did not give us an appropriate amount. The containers were half full - very disappointing. Luckily, we over-ordered. I'd eat here again, but if this is a regular occurrence, they likely won't hold my business. "

"The flavor of the chicken tikka masala was very good and robust. They give you an abundance of sauce. Definitely one of the best Indian food I've ever had."
"I've ordered twice so far from here and the food is amazing. The combo gives you a meal, rice, an appetizer, and naan. I got the chicken korma the first time and the chicken saag the second time both with the chicken samosas as the appetizer and the plain naan. I cannot wait to try something new next time. The flavors are spot on with my expectations. I highly recommend ordering from here. Also everything is thoughtfully packed. I ordered via DoorDash and I live about 20-30 mins from this place. They pack things in a way that they stay warm and also that they do not spill. "

"Paneer Tikka Masala was exceptional, it suppassed our expectations as it was our first time ordering it. It was well seasoned and spiced, tremendously flavorful. Mushroom Masala Dosa was quite delightful and healthy, vegetable ingredients were fresh and properly grilled. Mango Lassi was sweet, tangy, and creamy. Highly suggest trying out the location and their menu items."

"Tafu Saag was unbelievable and i will order it tomorrow, creamy and rich and delicious and loaded with tofu. Plain Naan was gigantic and fluffy. Gobi Manchurian was perhaps the most delicious and saucy cauliflower i have ever had"

"The food is good. But I was expecting more meat. I was a little bit upset that there wasn't enough meat. All that means is I'm gonna have to buy separate meat dishes from this restaurant. Please tell me how can I get more meat? Do I have to give you an extra $10 per dish? What do I have to do to get some meat? I am a man. I used to get larger dishes of chicken biryani with lots more meat than what you served for $2 when I was in Dallas TX working for Texas Instruments! Please tell me what must I do to get some meat?!? Lolol! But besides that, the food does taste very good. And I trust the chefs. But, y'all are being cheap. You don't have to be cheap with me. Just let me know how much extra money I need to pay. Okay?"
"This is expensive. They give you a lot of sauce and rice with very little meat. But they do a good job of cooking the meat they do give you. The taste of good. But the portion is meager. So in order to have a decent meal, you may have to buy several dishes. The food is fresh. Also, I enjoyed the flavor of the LAMB BIRYANI and L;AMB CURRY - 🔥 Customer Favorite . I also enjoyed the flavor of theCHICKEN BIRYANI - Chicken Biryani – Our #1 best-selling biryani!, but I did not enjoy the flavor of theCHICKEN TIKKA MASALA - 🔥 Our Most Popular Curry. In the photos you see they give very little meat, but a lot of sauce. But the food is very good. Great job to the chefs on flavor! But poor job on meat portions."

"My family and I usually sit in, not only are the staff amazing people with great service but their food is phenomenal. Paneer tikka, butter chicken or chicken tikka masala, and garlic and cheese naan is always my go to with a mango lassi. And don't get me started with their new wings."
"This is my least favorit Indian I've had in a whie. Curry flavor pretty mid, texture soooo thin on chicken dish. Also there is hardly any protein in any of the dishes. Got daal and it was fully liquid, nearly clear broth. Would not recommend."

"Palak Paneer was the star of the show, creamy and well bodied. Could have had more paneer. Cheese Naan was delicious when air fried back to crispiness. Lamb Kormawas delicious but a smidge too sweet. Lamb was tender and easy to bite into. Samosa Vege was a great snack later in the night after I digested my first round of curry. 1. Indian style Chicken Tandoor was well marinated but was a touch dry. Probably would have helped if skin was left on. They did not skimp on the rice."

"Cardamom just can't miss! I have loved every singe dish from here. Tonight's takeout was 9. Samosa, tofu 42. Tikka Masala, and of course 69. Garlic Naan. Samosas were crunchy and spiced but fairly mild. Their chutney alone is worth the visit. The tofu was super fluffy which is my preferred texture and the tikka was so flavorful as always. In case you didn't know, every entree comes with a genourous serving of buttery jasmin rice. The only negative thing is that the naan just isn't as good via takeout as it is in person, but that's due to the nature of transporting the food. If you dine in, don't do a thing until you've ordered the garlic naan! Pick up was fast, easy, and friendly. On a good night, pick up is almost always ready early. The best staff always deserves a tip!"
"Phenomenal food. Tikka Masala is the best in Queens. Samosas are off the charts. Biryani has such complex, enjoyable flavors. We absolutely love the food here. This has been our go-to Indian spot for over 10 years. "
