"Firstly, the Diablos Rex tastes amazing and I could easily buy an entire box, secondly I think I'd only buy the Diablos Rex again. For such expensive prices just to enjoy one donut flavor is highly disappointing. The Old Dirty Bastard and the banana donut were the biggest disappointments. The flavors of the Old Dirty Bastard did not go well together and eventually became stale in my fridge(took one day), and the banana donut tasted way too sweet while it had the cream had an odd taste of vodka that didn't go well with the entire taste, the same vodka-like taste was repeated with the Portland Cream. The Peanut Cake donut was fine, icing still wasn't the best (I only liked the peanuts), but I believe the simpler flavors at this place are better. I'd expect two five dollar donuts to taste way better, but it appears the quantity of donut was favored over the actual taste. The donuts also become rock hard and inedible if you don't eat them quickly. I also did not receive my Star of David donut, and I'm not sure if I was refunded; however, that may have been out of their control. Overall, 5.5/10, hard-carried by the Diablos Rex."

"I ordered 2 types of croissants and 1 kolache. They were mostly bread with about a tablespoon of ham in the middle. One croissant and the kolache did not have cheese. The kolache was just some ham in the middle of a biscuit. The croissant bread was good! I also ordered 6 eclairs which were good and had a lot of filling, but they boxed them sideways so the chocolate on the top slid down to the bottom of the box. I had to scrape it from the box and try to spread it back onto the eclairs. I can't find eclairs elsewhere so I'll just stick with ordering them (and then call them to have them boxed upright) and not the other stuff."

"At the time of this review I have spent the past 3 weeks trying different donut places, here's my take away: While KK donuts are basically glorified sugar, Dunkin feels more like fast food and my more local donut shop (TOPs) is overpriced - Max has them beat on EVERY level! The dough in the donuts is ACTUALLY BAKED into bread unlike burned Shipley's or air filled KK. The cinnamon sugar donuts feel like a real home made pastry that is a handshake between a churro and a buttermilk pancake from IHOP. The Bacon Egg and Cheese croissant tastes like heaven filled with protein. I actually had a hankering tonight for donuts, but I'm choosing to wait until the morning because I refuse to eat at any other place for donuts now. The apple fritters are big, but not hard. They are the perfect blend of crunchy and sweet apple inside! You can literally taste the difference between the sweetness of the glaze and the sweetness of the apple that I'm pretty sure has actual apple in it rather than just some filling. Any icing donut you buy is a genuine dessert! Once again a beautiful handshake on the part of Max Donuts between an IHOP buttermilk pancake and an actual piece of cake of the similar flavor as that you have ordered. The koloche was ok. To top it all off these are cheapest donuts I've found. Wake up early in the morning! Max makes it worth it! I'd eat there every day if I could justify it! 10/10, Max is the king of donuts! I will debate anyone who disagrees on a public forum of their choosing! "
