"Just had my first order from Star KTV and I'm pretty disappointed after reading so much praise on the SacramentoFoodies subreddit. I ordered Rice (2) 飯 (2) which was described as fried rice but was just steamed rice. (More on this later) I could've just made steamed rice on my rice cooker and saved the price of this. The drink I ordered, a Grape Slush w/ Cheese Cloud 芝芝葡萄, was unavailable so I was sent a regular boba milk tea. It at least tasted pretty good, but I'm disappointed that I didn't get to try what I wanted. The Roasted Duck Over Rice 燒鴨飯 was bland and consisted of like 70% steamed rice. The Duck skin was nice and salty. Not overly salty, but salt was the only flavor I really detected. The duck meat was dry and lacked flavor. The dish had what tasted like steamed bok choy which was okay but didn't help the bland duck. The steamed rice was bad. It tasted old and on the verge of hardening. This applies to the steamed rice that came with the duck dish and to the steamed rice that was described as fried rice. This whole dish would've benefitted from some sort of broth or gravy to add any sort of flavor. The one good thing was the House Chow Mein 招牌炒面. All the components were cooked well, everything was flavorful, and after the duck dish I was grateful to taste something. Overall a really disappointing meal. I'll try anything twice so I'll give it a shot again eventually, mostly just to take another shot at trying one of their slush with cheese cloud drinks. Better luck next time, I guess."

Flavor and crunch is really good even if the chicken inside is dryer. Long John Silvers has a classic taste that hasn't changed since I was young. The waffle style fry is new, but they taste like you expect them to. Crispy outside, fluffy potato within, salty. Nothing is overly greasy and it tastes like the oil in their fryer is clean; it doesnt burn the back of your throat like dirty oil. Same for the Popcorn Shrimp: crunchy batter, no fishy taste even though they're likely frozen. LJS doesn't disappoint as long as you don't lie to yourself about the expectation of eating from a chain restaurant. 10/10"

"The food came packed in acute reusable bag, which honestly added to the vibe. I liked the straw hole punch through on the beverage asked you how your "Chi" was doing today I just select the cheerful. I took a picture of the small and the large cup side-by-side so there's a good visual differentiation between the size options. The Brown Sugar Zang Zang had a Boba flavored syrup at the bottom, but it didn't really mix with the beverage and stayed very separated while tasty. It doesn't have any hints of tea. Just milk and syrup probably wouldn't repeat but wasn't unhappy to enjoy. the Taro had a strange artificial sweetener flavor, but was a good consistency and well Mixed With good Toro flavoring. The Taichi Burrito/Rice Bowl/Salad (2 Protein) was an excellent size. The cucumbers were thick cut rather than being like a sumomono style, the avocado was perfectly ripe, and the freshness of the fish was on pare. I will say the rice was not ideal. It was very firm rather than the soft sushi rice. I would've expected. But it certainly large enough to be enjoyed by two people based on the amount of ingredients that they offer you within it. The sushi rice made it so this is probably not something I would order again because in my opinion, good rice is key.
