"This is my Hickory Burger from the Wood-n-Tap restaurant, which I ordered at the peak dinner hour of exactly 6:22. I ordered my burger exactly as it is on the menu at the cook temperature of Medium Rare. I do like my burger to be quite pink so I ALWAYS order delivered red meat more rare than I would in a restaurant as the meat will keep cooking in the box & bag on the way to my house-just a tip for food ordering newbies and this goes double for steak orders. I received my order earlier than expected by about 10 minutes about 37 minutes total time from order to delivery...and it was ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING. Considering the 20something degree temperature outside and a 15-20 mile trip from restaurant to my home everything arrived incredibly well. I ordered 2 of these burgers, 1 for myself and one for my hubby. The frizzled onions were still awesomely crispy, i almostwish I added extra even though im stuffed to capacity cuz they were so awesome. Frizzled onions are something that I find even when I order and eat inside a restaurant can often be a very hard item to nail and they NAILED IT- these were fantastic. The bacon was still crisp, the fries were warm and clearly not fresh from the fryer because they'd obviously been delivered, but they definitely still had a crispness to them. As you can see in the photos (and if you've ever ordered high end takeout or just brought home leftovers before) you probably know that condensation can sometimes be an issue in travel- its the tax you pay to not have to leave your home for incredibly amazing food. I took a few photos, this way you can see what a delivery of this burger's doneness at medium rare in delivery at my time, temperature and distance looks like, as well as the burger's size which was bigger than my entire hand- I will say my hand is a woman's hand and I wouldn't say I have a large hand at all, but I'd say the burger was pretty darn large. I apologize for having taken my photo of the entire box of food with a bite taken from it, it just smelled and looked so amazingly delicious and I was so hungry that I just had to take a giant bite. This was my very first time ever ordering from Wood-n-Tap, but I can assure you it will not be my last. This burger was juicy, lean, seasoned amazingly and beefy- exactly what I was craving- a REAL BURGER. This is not some puny paper thin fast food mystery meat grease bomb. If thats what you're craving you know where to go to get it. But with prices these days, with a total plus tip not much more than one of those neon sign fast food joints... I'll take Wood-n-Tap over that other trash ANYDAY! If I could give 20 stars I would!"

I taught English and did translations for leading Companies -- my first job not associated with a univer- sity. Everything was expensive in Tokyo. My coworkers and I could not afford beef at 900 yen for 200 grams (about half a pound). I did not start making money until I was a full time translator. Having not had beef for 6 months I accompanied my pals to the opening of Wendy's in Shinjuku. I ordered a triple which was an unbelievable mass of beef in Japan for 1250 yen. [Due to the "Lost Decades" it's 1240 yen today]. That triple was like Manna from heaven. First time back in the States, I went to a Wendy's on the Post Road for a double. Heaven. My latest was Wendy's in SEYMOUR across from Klarides Plaza. Still, Heaven. Maybe it's always BEEF HEAVEN at WENDY's. No matter where. It makes me smile."

The Parmesan Caesar has fresh romaine with Parmesan flakes, a great Caesar dressing and TASTY, TASTY Parm croutons crumbles. DELICIOUS way to get your veggies. The Dave's Double is a classic hamburger -- very SATISFYING. The only quibble we had was with the Chocolate Frosty, which was not at all classic -- in fact, sub- standard. But, we'll never stop ordering this, because when it's right, it's a sweet treat. All in all, the Seymour Wendy's (across the street from Klarides Plaza) is the best. "WONDERFUL burgers, etc. from Plan B Burger Bar on the Post Road. The Mini Cheese Burgers were a deconstructed form of sliders, but with everything better: patties, buns and cheese. They even had little diced onions like the famous national chain. The Pulled Pork Mac and Jack was a good surprise. The pork was delight- ful and the Mac and Jack were a toothsome (Cavatelli) and tasty treat. The Chili was a hearty improvement over the thin version at the burger chain. And the Cauliflower was a healthy dish, and it's analog only appears rarely at fast food joints. Overall, Plan B is a substantive upgrade to burger places that you might get dragged to by your kids. When you crave fast food, BUT YOU WANT TO EAT BETTER. We NEED to SUPPORT this place and keep it thriving on the Post Road."

We LOVE THE CONCEPT: for when the family wants burgers, but you want them to have a nutritious meal, with prime ingredients, as they might get at a STEAKHOUSE. This is a DELICIOUS and healthier alternative to fast food. Hence the name, PLAN B. We were dismayed to hear the Southington branch may close. It made us rush out to support our own, local Plan B. We are so LUCKY to have a Plan B so conveniently placed on the Post Road. The Shepherd's Pie was packed with beef and mashed potatoes and other pie-like vegs: onions corn, tomatoes, etc. The ingredi- ents tasted fresh & wholesome. Head & shoulders above fast food or frozen food versions. The Caesar's Salad w/ Seared Salmon was so much better than what you would get with fast food. Fresh and premium.
