"I'm originally from Belle fourche, and if you know the area. Taco John's is all the rage, until the quality of their food went down. I had never tried Taco John's in Spearfish until today, and my hats off to the people who work there. the Spicy Chicken & Potato Griller wasn't overly sauced and didn't have a rancid flavor like I was used to. The guacamole sides for the potato oles was fresh and not overly tangy, same with the nacho cheese. And as for the Six-Pack of Crispy & Softshell Tacos the food was hot and fresh, the taco shells were nice and crispy with still just a nice little toastiness, they weren't over stuffed with lettuce and the meat was absolutely perfect taste wise. "Phenomenal food, would have a lot more customers if they didnt price their SUPER SMALL quantities so outrageously high. A lb of beef at the butcher shop is 6.50 they give you 1/4-1/2lb burger. So about $3 in meat (if they use premium hamburger) a slice of lettuce $.20 two strips of bacon eat $1.50 ketchup mustard $.50. So somehow you end up paying 20 for something that didn't even cost $7. There is absolutely no reason you should be making 2-3x profit margins on your locals, mine as well get into realestate if you like completely wrecking your clients wallets. Like I said, great food, but should be priced NO WHERE near where it is. I can go to the stadium and get a burger 2-3x as big, tastes better for less than 15. Consider that. High prices, lower volume clientele, lower prices, broader client base, more sales, less profit on sales, but more sales, bringing more future consumers. All comes down to one thing. Really depends on if youre just passin time or if youre here to stay. New generation coming up will not let this business survive with prices like that. Above all if like to end the review on it is good food, definitely one of the better quality places on door dash. "
