Onion Gratinee is a standout for me easily the best around and nothing lost by delivery. Jambon Beutre is simple and perfect and I usually double up another entree with this and take the sandwich home for dinner or lunch the following day, the baguette stays crispy. Beef Bourgignon and Trout Almandine are my other favorites to the point where I try making them at home but can't get the trout skin as crispy as the chef does. i miss the bread service but for the convenience of delivery it's a fair tradeoff."

This time, we got the BLANQUETTE, which was disappointing after all the rave reviews . The pork was not tender, and the cream sauce was just that - cream. It lacked any depth of flavor. We also got the coq au vin, and I agree with some of the yelp reviews. It too lacked any depth of flavor (other than sweet which is strange for this dish). The meat was also dry. The half roasted chicken was the only dish with flavor (in the skin), but the chicken itself was super dry. I will not be ordering from here again. There are way too many other good French restaurants in DC to make that mistake again."

"Fabulous! This was a DoorDash order and I had never tried L'Ardente before. I got the Cesare and the zucca. The Cesare was mostly a Cesar salad but the lemon was more present. It has mint breadcrumbs instead of croutons and an anchovy dressing. It was SO good and interesting and fresh! The zucca was perfection. Nothing swimming in oil or sauce. Just a sausage ragu that was mostly sausage. The seasoning had some bite to it but it was perfectly balanced. And the right amount of meat to pasta, neither one outpacing the other. It's a bit expensive but I'm looking forward to eating there in person now. So many Italian restaurants pale in comparison."
