"59. Szechuan Style Beef (Spicy) - I have been trying different Asian restaurants trying to find what I'm looking for - a good, spicy noodle dish with meat and veggies. Other places I've tried in the area have dishes that are just too sweet without the depth of flavor, or fresh veggies, that I'm looking for. This dish was the best I've had so far! Warning: it is HOT. It seems to have dried chiles (Thai Birdseye maybe?) and that left coarse bits of skin and seeds in the dish, and a little more heat than I prefer (and I LIKE spicy!) I ordered a side of lo mein and mixed with the beef. The beef was tender and flavorful. The veggies were very fresh. The carrots and cabbage seemed to be cut just for my order. I could taste fresh garlic and a hint of something smoky, like bacon. And, the portions are very generous! If this had just a little less chiles, it would be my top favorite asian noodle dish ever. "

"Very expensive for what you actually get so please be advised that for the time being this is really if you want it really badly. Beef Kabob is basically three smallish pieces of beef, not a lot of rice. Tasty? Yes! But the portions are atrocious. Lamb Shank is hit or miss. Sometimes big, and sometimes small. Taste is fantastic, but portion wise not really that consistent. Shrimp Salad tastes really good and a moderate amount of shrimp, may not be enough for some. Tiramisu tastes ok not very sweet if you are not into sweet desserts this is for you. Garlic Dip is delicious and has a strong garlic flavor. I wish I had lots more meat to eat it with! 😮💨😔They are very gracious with the pita bread if you like it they will provide to you a lot. Otherwise the actual food items so little yet so expensive. I ordered the Prime Ribeye medium. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Most people ordering to go know steak is not usually a good choice because it's just better straight from the oven. "I hadn’t eaten at Taqueria Flores in years, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give them another try. Unfortunately, I should have trusted my gut and saved my $40.
I ordered the tostadas, the crunchy taco special, and queso. I only wanted bean tostadas, but the order required me to select a protein, so I chose chicken. I even picked the food up myself, thinking that would ensure the tostadas and tacos were fresh and crunchy. I live only about four minutes away, but by the time I got home, everything was already soggy.
The tostadas had very little flavor and seemed to have more tomatoes and cheese than lettuce. The “crunchy” tacos were just as disappointing—they were soggy rather than crisp and lacked flavor as well.
The queso was another disappointment. It tasted sour and was surprisingly bland, with very little of the rich, cheesy flavor you expect from good queso. Between the soggy food and the sour-tasting queso, there really wasn’t anything about the meal that I enjoyed.
Both the tacos and tostadas were part of a buy-one-get-one-free special, but unfortunately, getting twice as much disappointing food didn’t make it a better deal.
Next time, I’ll stick with the food truck near Exxon. Their tacos and tostadas are made to order, fresh, crunchy, and packed with flavor. I really wanted to enjoy Taqueria Flores again, but this experience was a disappointment and definitely not worth the $40 I spent."
