"Heads up for my Latinos, this restaurant is for white people. The serving size is small and the food honestly isn't well seasoned. One of my tacos were lengua, I kid you not there were max 8 little dry pieces of lengua. I'd rather go to a taqueria. My other taco was skirt steak, it was so dry deff not fresh. I asked if I got limes and salsas and they told me yes but I only got 2 salsas. The pricing is also at least 30% more than a regular taqueria for less ingredients. Would not go out of my way to order from here."

"Orders enchiladas suizas that usually are made with salsa verde. There was no description of sauce for the suiza option, so to our surprise it was in salsa roja. We called the restaurant to see if this could be remedied somehow as we don't eat salsa roja and explained there is no information saying it is in salsa roja. The lady over the phone was dismissive and seemed to not care, said if we wanted it to be changed we would need to bring in the original orders. Very poor customer service and care. Unfortunately because of this we won't order again from here. It's hard to rate if the food was good or not due to neither of us liking the taste of salsa roja."

"Fronteras is one of the best Mexican food spots in Palatine. The owner runs a clean shop with fresh ingredients and fire grilled meats for every order. I would compare Fronteras to a fresher, more authentic version of Chipotle. When you order in the store, you choose your ingredients and protein before they turn around and grill the meat fresh on the spot, most of the time I've been there anyway.
We moved to Palatine in April 2025 and have been happily returning here at least on a monthly basis. I prefer the arrachera burrito with habanero salsa and red salsa. Each burrito is large and the quesadillas also are very filling. The bowls at Fronteras are comparable to the size you get at Chipotle."
