We have tried many places in the area and although this place is not the same food as I am used to their food is the best I have had. The meat is seasoned simply and done with perfection. Chicken tastes like chicken and beef tastes like beef. The sauces I have had are extremely fresh, and flavorful. The salsa is also great fresh and simple. Even with the huge differences of the food what I have had is simply seasoned, fresh tasting ingredients. Over all this is a 100 out of 5 from every other Mexican restaurant I have tried in NC."

I like to get extra salsa because the chef for Don Augustin makes the best of any restaurant I have ever been to in and out of North Carolina - so I decided to get the biggest container they have and use it in everything I make at home over the weekend . I got the large size chips because well...chips and salsa make a great lunch! The bag of chips is huge! I had to use a 2 gallon Zip Lock bag to store them. That's a big zip lock bag! There are enough chips for a party and they were delivered warm as if they had just been fried! The chicken was of course delicious and freshly cooked. I would give 10 stars to Don Augustin.
