"Checkers in Homestead did a pretty good job with the food. The burger wasn't overcooked and was juicy with bacon cooked just right. "The food quality and presentation are great but the price is a bit excessive for what you receive. $18+ for a single piece of gourmet toast that is primarily vegetables and dressings is not reasonable, no matter how fresh the bread or produce is. Especially when a plain slice of bread is sold for just over $2 dollars. The same holds true for the smoothies and fresh juices over ice, which are also over priced. You're better off getting the bottled juice and adding ice or blending into smoothies at home.
