"When I order Pancheros from Uptown, I always get sent food from the Golden Valley location and have never had issues. This time I got sent food from the Bloomington location and it was awful. Typically the food ingredients are mixed up but all of the lettuce was at one end. There was the tiniest amount of queso, cheese, guac, and sour cream which made my burrito sooooo dry. I'm not sure if they even added those ingredients it was that bad. The rice was also dry and hard. Disappointing as this is my go to place. Threw it away after a few bites."

I'm stuffed bc of how much meat they put on these tacos and the Caldo de Res is phenomenal! It has so much flavor! I would recommend having a dry piece of toast or baguette to eat with the Caldo de Res bc you're going to want to soak up all that soup. "I love, love, LOVE Cafe Zupas!! It is SO worth the slightly higher price. Everything I've had so far has been delicious, fresh, the right temperature, and great quality. But my absolute favorites are the Crab Avocado Melt and the Roasted Red Pepper and Lobster Bisque. The crab avocado melt has bacon, tomato, melted cheese, and just enough celery and onion to give the sweet tender crab salad a satisfying crunch. The red pepper and lobster bisque is amazing too; sweet lobster flavor without being at all fishy, a very mild kick from the red pepper, and while I wouldn't call it chunky, there are always some good sized lobster bites in every bowl. Oh, and did I mention that a hand-dipped chocolate-covered fresh strawberry comes with every meal?! I absolutely adore this place, and will be working my way through the menu systematically until I can try everything. It's a little on the higher price end of what you might expect for fast casual, but the amazing flavor combinations and the quality of the ingredients makes it well worth the extra buck or two."

The mushroom soup really just seemed like water with butter and a few slices of mushrooms. Not a lot of flavor. The size of the soup was very generous. "La Vaquita is my underrated hidden gem in the cities. I've ordered from them a few times now and I can say it is one of my favorite Mexican food places around. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito | Burrito Mañanero today and it was great. Authentic, fresh and good quality. I appreciate the ratio of chorizo and eggs to the rice. Some places give you mostly rice . Even the tortilla seems homemade. Not that mass produced flour tortilla that make your burrito fall apart. They have the best tacos around as well. It's the only place to find authentic cuts of meat like Cabeza and Lengua that are so well cooked. I lived most my life in Southern California and it's been a dissapointing journey adjusting to the Mexican food in Minneapolis but La Vaquita has that home-cooked by abuelita sabor I've been missing. I hope to make a trip here in person soon because their bakery items are probably just as good. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciats real Mexican food."
