"Probably one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve had, especially for the price. I’ve eaten at Edelweiss twice in person and had a completely different experience, so I was honestly shocked by how disappointing this DoorDash order was. I spent around $150, and unfortunately, this will be my first and last time ordering delivery from them.
The Riesen Bretzel was stale, hard, and genuinely disappointing. I’ve had better pretzels at a Switchbacks game. The Sauerbraten and Cordon Bleu Veal Bleu Veal were easily the biggest letdowns. Not only were the portion sizes almost laughable for the price, but the flavor of both entrées was completely off. Neither tasted anything like what I expected based on my previous experiences eating here in person. It’s crazy how much more food you seem to get when dining in compared to deliver these portions felt more like kids’ meals.
The Potato Pancakes were thankfully the one thing we actually enjoyed. The tortes weren’t bad overall, but the Mocha Mousse Hazelnut Torte was questionable and just didn’t taste right.
For $150, I expected the quality, flavor, and portions to be at least somewhat comparable to dining in. Instead, we got a stale pretzel, tiny entrées that didn’t even taste good, and a dessert that seemed off. Extremely disappointing and absolutely not worth what we paid. I definitely won’t be ordering delivery from Edelweiss again."
