"For context, before this review I was an infrequent user of DoorDash, and totally unfamiliar with The Burger Den. However, after a long day in the field that turned into a longer evening of paperwork in my hotel room, DoorDash and The Den were a high convenience, low expectation choice. To my pleasant surprise, I was totally blown away by both this evening! Here are some highlights…
1. Delivery. Crazy fast! I think the Dasher beat the estimate by 10-15 minutes. Bravo!
2. Order. I had the Vibe with Shrooms with standard Wavy Fries. Since order came from > 5 miles (which could take 3 days in LA!), I had resigned myself to the usual soggy, delivery fries. Instead, I was greeted by the waft of HOT, CRISPY slabs of perfectly seasoned potato goodness, and ample ketchup packets to go with.
Let’s talk burger... Patty. PERFECT cook and temp. Brioche bun. Soft, sweet, and on point. Shrooms and onions. Sautéed and portioned with finesse that usually doesn’t come wrapped in foil and served in a cardboard box. Last stop, cheese. Folks, the cheese was so hot and stringy that it got caught in my beard!
