"Normally I love this place, but they didn't have the German Chocolate on the menu so I created mine with similar ingredients: chocolate ice cream, caramel, pecans, brownies, and coconut. However, when it arrived, it was missing the coconut which is teally what I love most about the GC. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was still good a d definitely cold, unmelted and fresh, but even our portions were not what we had asked for. I am not sure what happened. "Excellent. This is authentic homemade ice cream. Excellent flavors. I've tried them all. I started eating at Handel's when they first opened in Cleveland, Ohio some 14 years ago.
My absolute favorite is the midnight madness, which is not offered on the regular menu, but on a rotation basis and it doesn't seem to come up that often. Also making my list are the praline pecan, mud pie, pistachio, black cherry.
Honestly, I haven't had any flavor I disliked. I also tried the sundaes and the banana split, however delicious, it masked the flavor of the indulgent ice cream.
I learned if I had a Handel's graving, while at work and couldn't take time to eat a cone or bowl, just order your favorite ice cream as a shake.

"I was actually shocked at the other options from a restaurant whose name includes pizza.
This is my second time ordering from them. I have to say their halibut is superb. No one in the area sells halibut fried in tempura batter or Parmesan crusted with risotto. Huge chunks of fried halibut that was butter soft and not overly fried. The baked version is just as buttery, however, has a completely different taste with it's accompanyments. I highly recommend both.
They also have excellent soup. The lobster bisque is just like I've tasted when visiting Maine. Significant amount of fresh lobster and delicious broth. Perfection! Tonight I ordered southwest corn soup. This tasted as if it was a gourmet chef's recipe. So much flavor.
I plan to try the pie next. The crust looks like bread dough. That's what I'm used to coming from NY. Bread dough tastes like no other if made correctly. They also advertise homemade sauce. Being Italian, that's a must try for me.
Just a quick word about the staff. I spoke to 2 different employees regarding specific add-on items, to my order, that weren't available on the delivery app. They made it happen. So impressive. Well done.

"The packaging is very secure and sealed in multiple areas, which I really appreciate for DoorDash since that isn't necessarily the standard for a lot of stores that offer delivery.
However, I do not appreciate that there is an option to remove things from the burgers in customization, yet it doesn't actually show up on your order receipt. It's a bummer to consistently get an order that is messed up due to an error that is not my fault. I would love it if whoever put this restaurant available on DoorDash would add back the add customization option. It's a bummer to me that so many stores remove this option :(
Aside from that, some of the items are a bit bland. I think the onion rings and the jalapeño cheddar bites could use seasoning or even just salt on the outside. The impossible whopper patty is also incredibly similar to real meat, both in taste, smell, and texture, which is a plus for meat-eaters and a huge disappointment if you are a vegetarian because of preference. I wish y'all would bring back the amazing black bean burger you used to have! Sooo good. The Impossible Whopper is just too greasy and meaty. "
