We make this dish at home in a similar manner with lemon juice, and it comes close to our own family recipe. It is our favorite entree on Byblos's menu. If ordering online through Door Dash, be sure to enter your request for the Lamb version in the notes to the restaurant. The restaurant does a great job of reading and honoring order requests. "They were very generous with the Tzatziki Sauce provided with my order, and it had great flavor. Enough was provided for me to put tzatziki on the gyro meat, the half tomato, and whole onion that was put in the Gyros Platter. For $20 you'd think they'd add rice or a side salad to the platter but instead I got meat and toppings. The Jalapeno Hummus Bil-Lahim was a big portion but the ground beef provided masked the taste of the hummus and was extremely greasy. The hummus tasted more like a very bland cheese dip, I would not recommend this place if you want mediterranean food. "

"The first time I ordered on March 3rd I ordered the hummus gyro, it was in the black plastic plate pictured in menu. But yesterday I ordered one gyro and one chicken and the pictures below will show you that the food came in two very small Styrofoam containers. The chicken was hard and old, I scraped it off, threw it in the trash and just ate the hummus. The feta rolls were good and the pomegranate sauce was to die for. I spent over 30 bucks and the least they can do is give me my money's worth. I'm so disappointed ☹️"

"First time trying this particular restaurant, and honestly, I’m not sure it’s somewhere I’d frequent again—especially for the price.
The rice was unevenly cooked and seasoned, and the white sauce was an additional charge. I assumed it would be tzatziki, but it turned out to be a very bland ranch-style sauce. Nothing really stood out.
The biggest issue was the lamb—it was EXTREMELY salty. The vegetables in the bowl and the gyro could have been more generous as well.
Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but for the price, I expected more. Unfortunately, I don’t think this will be a repeat spot for me."
