"This was the first time that I've tried pani puri and it was pretty good! I liked the slight spice in the liquid and the filling was aromatic. You have to put the sauce on it altogether though to complete it. The chicken masala wrap had a buttery paratha (?) and the filling was pretty soft/mushy, but there were bits of onion that helped and the flavor was really good with good spice. The Mongolian beef was tough and difficult to chew. The noodles felt more like a decorative garnish than an actual component of the dish.
The Pan Fried Chili Fish looked flavorful, but the fish itself was surprisingly bland.

"The Chicken Tikka Masala was awful, it was watered down as if they accidentally poured a lot of water into the dish. The sauce was extremely thin and flavorless, the chicken was dry. I tried my best but it was just pointless to chew on tough and tasteless food, I threw it in the trash sadly. Never in my life did I think I would say Indian food had No flavor, so disappointed in Begum.
The dish did not come with rice, I had to order it separately, which is normally not a problem, but the other two dishes ordered came with rice and the rice portion with those was twice the size of the tiny $7 side of rice!
The second worst dish was the Shrimp Coconut. This dish was also very thin / watered down. We did not have to throw this one away, but better quality was still expected.
I ordered from Begum years ago when a friend lived in Chatham, it was so very good. The sauces I remember were rich and flavorful, the meat was never tough.
After this experience, I can't trust to order from here again :/"

Once again, this used to be undoubtedly the best biryani one could get in NJ. But not anymore just because you have changed the type of pieces to mediocre, small, less meat more bony ones. No other biryani could come close to its taste, it’s authenticity and the quality!
