"Lamb Rogan Josh was very tasty."
"Currys were runny and more water than curry.
The rice is a tiny serving, you realistically need 2 for one person, never had a serving of rice this small, from any indian.
Dont know what they put in their food but it pretty much immediately caused major bloating for everyone who ate - this doesnt happen at other indians.
The currys were ok flavour wise but all in all wouldnt re-order due to rice size, consistency of curry and other issues mentioned"

"I was feeling like something fairly light and holy moly this hit the spot! Masala dosa was so delicious, loved the filling, and the dosa beautifully light. Came with two sides (see pic), one a watery vegetable curry with fresh curry leaves, and the other a coconut chutney. Both REALLY good!
There are a few different aloo tikka's on the menu so I wasn't sure which to go for, but luckily I hit the jackpot with the "chaat". Potato cakes smothered with chickpea curry, yoghurt, chutney and coriander. (I'd already started eating it when I thought to take the pic).
I'll be reordering this meal for sure! 10/10 =D"

"Whenever we go into the restaurant the staff are always lovely, the food is absolutely delicious and the prices are more than reasonable. Even when we order online, the food shows up warm and delicious, we love the kebab with garlic naan and onion or potato, the tikka sauce goes really well with it too. I highly recommend this place, I order from them all the time "
"Had classic kebab with tikka masala sauce - beautiful soft naan bread - plenty of chicken with great amount of tikka charred taste, went for onion bhaji that was nice & crispy (have had the potato in there previously but found it too heavy) repeat customer that loves their kebabs. Instore price is $11.50, so big mark up through door dash but I had a great offer which is why I ordered here through them."

"Consistently excellent!! The curries are high quality and intensely flavourful. I've been eating here for many years and never had a bad meal, it's hard to pick a favourite dish, but the Prawn Balchao is a showstopper. And the dosai are crisp and tasty and I love the Masala Dosai filling and chutneys."
"I regret to say that Malabar's offerings left me sorely disappointed and utterly underwhelmed. The so-called "curries" and "paratha" they serve up are nothing short of a culinary travesty.
Firstly, let's address the elephant in the room: the price. For the minuscule portions they provide, the prices are nothing short of extortionate. It's as if they believe they can charge a premium simply for slapping the word "Malabar" on their menu. Newsflash: a fancy name does not equate to quality.
Now, onto the size. If you're expecting a hearty meal that will leave you feeling satisfied, look elsewhere. Malabar's portions are laughably small, barely enough to constitute a snack, let alone a meal. It's as if they're trying to pass off appetizers as main courses.
And don't even get me started on the taste—or lack thereof. The curries are bland, devoid of any depth or complexity of flavor. It's as if they've never heard of spices or seasoning. And the paratha? Dry, rubbery, and utterly forgettable. I've had more flavorful cardboard.
In conclusion, Malabar is a prime example of style over substance. Sure, their decor may be nice, but when it comes to the food, they fall flat on their face. Save your hard-earned money and your taste buds the agony—steer clear of this culinary disaster zone."

"The Masala Dosa was delicious, and the sambar is divine. I prefer the South Indian/Sri Lankan version of the condiments but had no complaints here. The Chicken Curry Rice was expectedly spicy and had a slightly unusual minty taste, but very tasty. And who cannot love the Parotta?"
"Second time I got ripped off in some way.
This time around the Masala Dosa had potatoes so small I could have eaten 2 of them and still not been as full as if I ate one as they are normally served traditionally, both elsewhere and here. The dosa itself was small.
The green chutney was missing entirely, and I got an unnecessarily huge container of the red.
Got 2 extra small Sambar on top of the 2 I ordered, but I don't want that much sambar when I don't have anything to eat it with. And they tasted a bit stale. And I love sambar.
The Onion Uthappam was ok. The onions should have been cooked a bit more and the Uthappam itself was a bit sour.
Now I know why the rating for the store is so low. Not ever ordering from here again."

"Chips were quite nice.
HOWEVER
That was quite frankly the worst burger I have eaten.
The schnitzel literally had sliver of chicken the width of a piece of paper. There was what felt like skin inside the batter somehow. I couldn't bite into it because the batter was so over cooked and there was way too much.
The cheese was plastic cheap tasting.
The sauce was bland and there was way too much.
And the burger was poorly constructed so it fell apart after a few bites.
I would not order this again.
Im so disappointed the photos made it look amazing."

"Yummy food, always. Curry pakoda and Gulab Jamun are the best"
"Biryani was good and had very good succulent pieces. The butter chicken I would say was ok, but it was missing something which I'm finding difficult to point out, and the one main think I would like to point out is the tandoori charcoal flavour was way too overpowering as I could taste the burned flavour a bit too much. I understand that the chicken pieces are cooked first in a tandoor and then added to the curry base. But a burnt flavour was predominant, at least in the batch that was delivered to me. However I was very happy for the fact that you did not use any colouring agents like other restaurants. Reducing the burnt flavour, using the sweetness from the butter and tomatoes(may be a pinch of sugar if required to balance the sourness) and a little green chilli tempering (for a Delhi Dhaaba style butter chicken) would do the trick. Not disappointed, but there's room for improvement. May be it was just yesterday's batch that had an issue and you may already be following the traditional recipe. "

"So happy to see Double Ka Meetha on the menu! The flavor is spot on—rich, sweet, and full of nostalgia. Tastes just like the authentic Hyderabadi version I’ve missed for so long. Perfect portion and great packaging too. Definitely ordering again.
"
"Ordered Chicken 65 Biryani, rice taste was good but chicken taste could have been better. Chicken quantity was also less as compared to rice which had a lot of quantity. It wasn't proportionate. Was fresh and would probably order again. Hopefully the proportion was a one time issue."

"It was good. Would be better to put tandoori chicken in a plastic container instead of a paper bag since the juice leaked everwhere and stained my counter tops.
That said, food was delicious and meat tender. Also really appareciated the papd pack! I was having a bad day so that helped. "
"Food was very tasty and not overly spicy. Full tandoori chicken was only 4 Maryland pieces which was disappointing. Biryani was tasty but serving was small and contained little chicken. Sauces were also tasty but very watery"

"I get takeout from this place on average 2 or 3 times a week and have done so for about 15 years.
My favourites are the beef vindaloo with rice, butter chicken, chicken tikka and garlic naan. I find the food to be consistently tasty with good sized portions. "
"Nearly everything was great but the Vegetable Samosa which I formerly critiqued as the best in Sydney, was today a zero. Filling was over salted. The case was dark with oil sitting for too long under a heat lamp and no longer fresh. Disappointing "

"This has to be the best chatpate I had
I had special request of extra coriander and potato and asked to add less salt and it tasted marvellous. It's like you cant stop even though it's spicy
Great job done and definitely ordering this over and over again"
"I couldn’t find a reasonable review about this place, so here it goes. The vegetable chow mein was exactly as shown in the picture—flavourful and with a generous amount of vegetables. The chilli chicken was tender and enjoyable, without being overly spicy. The only downside was the garlic naan; the garlic flavour was quite mild and could be enhanced, perhaps with a bit more butter. Overall, a satisfying meal, you get your moneys worth."

"Great mouth watering malai chaap roll."
"Liked the tasted of the food - authentic Indian. However they seem to be using a lot of food colouring in their dishes and my hands were orange from the filling in their wrap.
Decent portion sizes but good value for money overall."

"Chicken Korma was cooked tender and had generous portions. Biryani is always delicious and tastes exactly like the Lakemba restaurant."
"Should increase the quantity of biryani to match that price. Tastes good but very less quantity compare to other shops biryani. Atleast should try to fill the given box instead sending it 1/4th empty. That too its a medium size box. "
