I have even talked with the manager about that and she was like "i don't care, that's how we made it" with that I decided immediately to delete my 5 stars review maybe this will make them try to fix their restaurant once again! I walked in the first time we picked it up it, and the food smell instantly hit my nose bringing me back to my grandpas house. Lately meat quality has gone down when getting meals out, but Persepolis's meat quality was 10/10. It was so tender, juicy, and filled with flavor and spices. I was so happy they included the pita, tomato, onion and herbs as well. Ah! And don't forget the side of sumac! It was everything I was looking for. "Absolutely the "go-to" spot (the other Mr G locations as well) for middle -East menus in Seattle. A clean well-lighted place with a fresh and aromatic take on our faves: shawarma, gyros, falafel, kebab.
On the side the tzatziki and hummus are tangy and very fresh. The pita is always today's and is in a sweet spot between earthy/grain-ey and chewy, picking up the mix of flavors in the sandwich (plates are great too but I always end up making little sandwiches so good to order the extra pita or two).
Altogether delicious and (if your eyes aren't TOO much bigger than your stomach!) filling but not something you need to take a nap after. There's a lot of hype out there about restaurants but this one is sure fire. Most highly recommended. And the Arsheed brothers have been feeding Seattle eastern-Mediterranean cuisine (breakfast/brunch also in Greenwood) for over 20 years to high acclaim and reviews far beyond the borders of our fair city. "I had the Veggie Combo Plate and my mom had the Chicken & Rice. My mom loved the chicken and rice. She said it was very satisfying and the portion was so large that she has enough for another meal. It's unbelivable. Also the cheeps are always fresh and well seasoned and I admit I ordered it three times in one week. The ICE-KAFEH is on another level.
