"Tasty & still hot on arrival. Great portion size for the price, the rice & beans are also delicious. Maduros / Fried Sweet Plantains are great & don't taste like they're fried in old oil. Same for the Tostones / Fried Green Plantains. I also ordered a large container of their mojo sauce bc it's delish. Everything has been great, I ordered the Pernil Asado twice now, both times great."
"Once again ON POINT!!!! Great service, I put in a request to have the Pernil Asado with white rice instead of yellow and they actually did it without any issues. This Burrito Bowl w Beef is 💣 💣 💣. Deff my go to spot for homemade type food cuz my house throws down in the kitchen and MANY places in Jersey suck"

"Not gonna lie, I forgot to take pics before eating and I started demolishing it immediately. The Mofongo is SO good, it's a good sized portion, not too small like some places give. It's also seasoned very well unlike other places that give you bland ones. The steak was very good, the Alcapurria de guineo is as close to what my mom's is as I can find, so it's amazing. The star of the show was definitely the Pastelillo de Guava (Guava Empanada) because I'm Cuban and that's what I was raised on and they do it well! My husband is raving over his food, the masitas de puerco (carne Carne Frita) are soooo good he says. I would absolutely order here again, in fact my husband says he's ordering it on his cheat day next week 🤣"

"finally an empanada place that actually has filling inside not just a tablespoon of beef or 3 pieces of pork or flat and greasy and soggy these empanadas are exactly how we cook them at home, authentic taste and the pink sauce goes very well. 10 out of 10 I recommend"
""Five stars isn’t enough! I just ordered from Bussin Empanadas and they blew me away. I’m smiling after every bite—the empanadas and plantains are on a whole different level. I’ve already saved their number in my contacts because I’m definitely going to be a regular. If you haven't tried them yet, you’re missing out. Everything was fantastic! 😎💪🏾""

"Both items were SO good. The chicharron was crispy and salty. The onions in the bistec encebollado had a sweetness to them and went great with the rice and beef. The maduros were soft and sweet. Not pictured are the red beans, equally delicious. Can't wait to try other dishes"

"The food arrived cold. The basmati rice was unexpected and a bit hard for some reason. Perhaps it was undercooked? The pork was shredded super thin and did not taste good. The order was piled with a ton of thick sliced raw red onion which did not add anything favorable to the dish. The black beans were also bad. Will not be ordering from here again."

"This tasted great, and I will definitely order again. The home fries w/ peppers and onions, are the best I've tasted from any restaurant in the area. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The only request I have is that they add an option to add cheese to the eggs. The price could be lower considering it's just eggs, meat, home fries, and toast, but it's comparable to other restaurants in the area. They should offer a reward for every $100 spent over time, for $15 off the next order, and/or buy 1 get 1 50% off. They could also include fresh juice w/ the platter, like a combination meal. This would make their restaurant's breakfast stand out, and be very popular."
"Alcapurria was undercooked, Rabo (Oxtail) Empanada was just ok but kind of dry and small for the price. From this experience and a precious one I'm certain I wouldn't eat from this place again. They also forgot to send one item."

"The Pernil Family Meal + Large Rice & Beans + Side was an Amazing choice. The meat taste was soo flavorful and tender. The rice was cooked perfect and the beans were seasoned as deliciously. The portion was good, I would have liked a larger amount of bean but overall , LOVED IT!"
"I was excited to try Meson Tropical, but this order was disappointing. The food was packaged in foil trays and did not travel well, which affected the presentation and overall dining experience.
The biggest issue was the quality of the meats. The fried pork belly was extremely overcooked, dry, and tough to chew, and the meat in the mini Meson bowl was similarly overdone. Rather than tasting fresh and juicy, the meats seemed as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an extended period. More importantly, the dishes lacked the bold seasoning and authentic Latin flavors I expected from a Puerto Rican/Dominican restaurant. The food was bland and did not have the homemade Caribbean taste that makes this cuisine special.
The Spring Meson Chicken Salad and Cod Fish were also underseasoned and uninspiring. The alcapurria was terrible—dry, flavorless, and nothing like a freshly made alcapurria should taste. The Passionfruit Mango Madness drink was forgettable and did not stand out. The stuffed potato ball was the only item I genuinely enjoyed.
Overall, the meal lacked consistency and flavor. I was expecting fresh, well-seasoned dishes that reflected the rich and vibrant tastes of Latin cuisine, but unfortunately this experience missed the mark. I hope improvements are made because the menu has a lot of potential."

"The Whole Chicken was genuinely amazing I tried La Rosa's before and it was nothing compared to this. This is genuinely a must try super flavorful, super fresh and juicy I wish yall could've gave me more but it was amazing I'm definitely coming back for more!!!"
"The chicken n ribs is to the Gods. You can taste the pride in their cooking. Speaking to Alexa I got a little background story which confirmed the pride. Assuming she was the owner I was corrected. She's a proud employee with dishes to match. Come early for the ribs. Taste like home and it's soooo hearty. Customer for life. Simply Fresh and Amazing."

"Would definitely order again! The food was delicious, everything was packaged securely, and the portions were worth it. That green sauce hits different. The only thing I would say is the pasta in the Tallarines Verde Con Pechuga was more earthy-tasting than I expected, just not my style but still tasty."
"I ordered the Lomo Saltado and Chaufa, and it was a very disappointing experience. The rice was burnt—you could smell it as soon as I opened the container. Everything had leaked, with the sauce spilled all over the packaging. The food smelled burnt and slightly spoiled, which made it very unappetizing.
The beef was tough and difficult to chew. The rice portion was overwhelmingly large, especially in the chaufa, but unfortunately the quality was terrible. Overall, the meal was poorly prepared and not worth the money. I would not order from here again."

"First time ordering and as a Dominican myself the food is authentic. Everything was delicious and what I appreciated most was that they packaged everything carefully and sauces did not end up in the bag.
I definitely recommend this place. "

"The Pizza Empanada was good and the Ham & Cheese Toast was good as well but the Chimichurri was not what expected. They just put the meat with pink sauce and lettuce when a chimi doesn't have lettuce. It has seasoned cabbage, red onion and green tomatoes. They have to improve that."

"I love the grilled chicken 1/2 Pollo Al Carbon and the arroz chaufa. I was just a little down for the soda. The photo shows a bottle, I received a can. It's all good. I assume the price justifies the size. I give it 5 stars because their food is really good, I ordered a few times from them and have never been disappointed. "
"The restaurant took over 2 hours to prepare our order. Multiple drivers arrived at the restaurant and left due to the order not being ready yet. The Lomo Saltado had good flavor but the steak was tough and the rice was dry and slightly hard- I'm assuming it was day old rice."

"Love this place. It has definitely become my go to spot for authentic cuisine. Feels like a home cooked meal. The portions are more than fair, food is fresh, and for a great price at that. The Pernil with Moro De Guandules accompanied by a side of mudoros, "chef's kiss" for sure and absolutely enough for two people or have some for leftovers the next day."
"All around great value, Pernil was flavorful, the rice and maduros were nice and fresh, almost as if they were just made. The restaurant gave a generous amount of rice and meat for an amazingly low price. I didn't expect that for a lunch platter. I wouldn't mind ordering again soon."

"Rib Eye is smaller than a month ago and the price went up by $20 so now it's $54. I still had to re cook it medium was rare. I also had to add seasonings I don't know how hard it is to add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.Guacamole con Tostones was good again I added lemon juice and salt and pepper. Tostones were hot and crispy. if your gonna charge $54 for a steak then make it worth it. That steak I had last night was not a $54 steak. I will get the rubs next time."
