"burritos from here have been a comfort food of mine since I was a kid; I always order the same thing and rarely have any issue. however, the employee who constructed my barbacoa Burrito this time seems to need a little more training or something.
first, they clearly don't understand the point of double-wrapping -- the tortillas were both there, but stacked exactly instead of overlapping to improve coverage, so the whole thing still fell apart rapidly as I ate, and despite my best efforts, made a huge mess. (They would have torn if I had tried to separate them and re-wrap it myself -- I know from experience)
second, the ingredient proportions and distribution were disastrous. the whole thing was like, 65% rice, 15% barbacoa, 10% guac, 5% lettuce, and 5% sour cream. I'm not convinced that any of the 3 salsas were in there at all. To make matters worse, nothing was mixed together well or even reasonably layered. Think "dear guy who just made my burrito" reddit rant from 2013."

"I love Shells and Sauce and you will see I have reviewed many times on here. It is and has been a go to for my wife and I for a few years now if we want pasta. The pastas and everything we've ordered across the menu has always been consistent and tasty. Tonight unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with my wife's order of Pear and Gorgonzola Sachetti as it was quite a small portion especially considering that I ordered her extra chicken so it was a $30 meal at that point. Paying $7 for extra chicken and getting a small meal, I can't imagine what it would look like if we hadn't ordered extra protein. Or they possibly made it without noticing the extra chicken addition but if that's the case it was a waste of money to order extra. Also menu changes happen but I really miss their pork chop and hate that it was removed. It was literally my favorite chop I've had and a perfect meal to me. From consistently getting a well seasoned perfectly cooked thick pork chop to the amazing peach chutney and corn raviolis. I've never had corn raviolis before that meal and it went great with the pork. It was literally like creamed corn ravioli. If you didn't get a chance to try it when it was on menu you definitely missed out and I would love to see it brought back. "
"My wife and I love Shells and Sauce and order from here often. Usually always order pastas and love them but noticed the Red Wine Marinated Grilled Pork Loin was new on the menu so thought I would change it up and try something new. This is the best pork chop I've hadin a long time. Very thick but and perfectly seasoned so it was delicious on its own but even better dipped in the Palisade Peach chutney that it came with. The corn ravioli that came with it was just as delicious and made for the perfect meal. I will be going back for more and often!! The salad looks delicious, but it had NO dressing on it, just dry ingredients. The lunch special comes with a drink, which did not arrive. It would probably be very good if ordered or picked up at the restaurant where you could specify or ask for items you didn't receive, and maybe get a better slice with enough ingredients, but I don't recommend ordering through Doordash for this restaurant.
