"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Alons Halal Grill. I paid $15.99 for chicken over rice, and the container was mostly rice and two types of salad, with barely one scoop of chicken. With no lunch specials available, I expected a proper regular platter for that price.
The chicken was overly salty, the sauces were watered down, and the overall food quality was poor. As someone familiar with halal food in Manhattan, this was nowhere near the quality or value I would expect.
Charging premium prices should mean providing reasonable portions and quality food. Unfortunately, this experience delivered neither. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant."

Huarache pollo/chicken came as steak instead of chicken. The flavor was great but we really wanted chicken.
Agua fresca large horchata was replaced unwittingly with tamarind which was not a good substitute, we found it gross.
