"It's been a long week and I really wanted a steak--specifically filet mignon. It's not something I order often, especially for delivery. I am new to the area so wasn't sure what the best option was for the money. I tried Maggiano's for the first time. I must say I am feeling so satisfied after the best meal I've had in months. First off, it came with a warm bread & butter of a decent size. The presentation of the meal was perfect--like it would look on the plate at a restaurant even thigh in a to go container. There it was, the perfect Center cut filet mignon. I'd asked for it medium well and it was perfectly cooked to that doneness. It came with a large serving of garlic mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The filet mignon cut like butter--it was so tender and perfect. The taste was robust, hearty and delicious--literally the perfect steak. I was getting full but didn't want the meal to end! What an utterly delightful meal that I am still smiling about. Kudos to the chef, the staff and the carry out prepper. Just a wonderful job through and through. "

"The Fettuccine Alfredo With Wild Gulf Shrimp only had 5 pieces of shrimp in it and the noodles were not fully cooked . In less than 10min the noodles and sauce had congealed and i had to use another fork to help seperate the noodles. I finally gave up and didnt even finish. I also orderedthe Fried Calamari but ended up with more French fries than the Fried Calamari. Maybe 16 pieces in total but enough fries mxed it to make it look like it was a full box. "I’ve ordered from Port of Peri Peri (Buffalo Grove location) multiple times before, but unfortunately, this will be my last. Over time, I’ve noticed a steady decline in quality while prices keep increasing. Today’s order was the final straw.
I ordered a whole chicken with peri rice (large upgrade) and five extra sauces. The chicken was extremely dry, as if it hadn’t thawed properly before cooking. Instead of the large rice portion I paid for, they gave me a small, which is just careless. The extra sauces were another disappointment—while I understand they won’t be filled to the brim for transport, these were barely half full, yet they charge $1 per sauce. Out of the five I ordered, only two were decently filled—a complete ripoff.
My family used to love takeout from here, but the quality has dropped too much to justify the price anymore. I genuinely believe it’s this Buffalo Grove location cutting corners because the Schaumburg location has maintained its standards.
Save your money and go elsewhere—this location is not worth it anymore."
